I asked Devicewear if they were updating their Ridge model for V2 of the iPad Pro 12.9 and the response from support after asking the design team was NO. So sad! I loved that case.

I need to do more searching. I liked the hard backed shell and the multiple forms of angles.

Curious if anyone is using the new otterbox for the 12.9?

The screen protector on prior otterbox cases has always drove me nuts and I found it too noticeable..I wonder if that's still a problem? I know people cut it out, but I'm not sure I want to do that..

I'm also not sure I want to give up the smart connector...

I just ordered the Otterbox symmetry case for the 12.9 as it was on sale for back to school. I could not find any reviews so hopefully it was an okay choice. I have a symmetry case for my phone and quite like it. I went this route as I picked up an apple smart cover marked down to $19.99. I also want to use my case for sheet music so it needs to lay flat. I liked the idea of being able to remove the smart case if need be for that purpose.

Ive still been loving the official silicone case for gen 1 with gen 2

Flash is blocked and some cameras, but both moot for me,

I got hooked to silicone case on 9.7 pro, and glad i got an option with 12.9 being same size as previous gen,

I just recently upgrade from 10.5 ipp to 12.9 Ipad pro 2nd gen.

I love my poetic lumos on my 10.5 Ipad pro, works really well with my tempered glass screen protector.

But now im on 12.9 pro the Poetic lumos is giving a bad time as it keeps lifting my tempered glass. the poetic lumos needs to be on the top of the tempered or it will lift it up. everytime im holding the poetic where the pencil holder located it will pull a little bit and it will make my tempered glass lift again. in shorts this is sucks!

I hope the pic makes sense at all.

I got this case yesterday. I think I have found my ultimate case, some grip on the edges when at home, with a cover for on the go. All at a price way less than a Smart Cover alone. Bonus is the elastic pencil spot that will hold my pencil that has a grip on it.

I'm not a case collector, I used my iPad 1 with a CandyShell on it until I got my Air. I loved my cheap TPU back until I had to travel more, so I bought something with a cover. Then I bought the cheap thing for the 12.9 knowing it was for the 2015. I feel like this is my "Use it for years" case. We shall see! LOL

Got my iPad on Friday and put my otter box symmetry on it with Smart Cover. Working well so far.

Anyone got the UAG Metropolis? I didn't and dont like the stand support at all. Will be returning it this week. The previous design had a very sturdy and rock solid aluminium stand. I previously owned a 12.9in Ipad Pro which I used the UAG iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st Gen) Feather-Light Composite [BLACK] Aluminum Stand Military Drop Tested iPad Case. The new Metropolis is a major disappointment for me.

Hows the smart cover magnet with that case? does your smart cover drops open when flip upside down?

I recently got a 12.9 smart cover with poetic lumos tpu back case. My smart cover will easily
open when holding it upside down. i dont know if the poetic lumos lip affecting the magnet of the smart cover not sticking to the ipad really well or my smart cover magnet is not strong enough.

I have not noticed it falling so just tested. It holds pretty well. If I am holding it in my hand upside down where my hand is on part of the smart case and partly on the back, it holds fine. If I actually try to hold it upside down while not holding anywhere on the iPad, it will fall but that would be a pretty ackward way to hold it. If you flip the Smart Cover to the back of the case while reading etc, it is not as strong but I don't find that to be a problem as it will grab on enough that if I was standing holding with one hand on that side and does not fall while using on my lap etc. It does make the iPad nice and flat on the back side which I like for putting it on the piano and easy to remove the Smart Cover for scanning etc. Overall I am pretty happy with it.

Bought another UAG case from the previous generation. I don't use the camera or flash anyway, so it doesn't matter that it's covered. That new gen is really useless without the folio flap. It leaves one side unprotected and it sags.
The metal stands of the old ones are worth their weight in gold.

I like how the Otterbox has the piece that can cover the connector side when it's not in use, but then I also like how the Tech21 has the removable pencil holder instead of just a loop. A mix of both would be the perfect case.

The otterbox loop is removeable. I accidentally did so one day a couple weeks after I got it. I do like having the loop a lot though. I got a sleeve from Etsy for transporting and really liking that too. I told the seller which case I was using and it fits great.

How exactly is it removed? I might purchase that case now.

The way it is attached on two little prongs that you slide on. So if it is not on, you would see those. I’ll see if I can take a picture.

See the little prongs where the loop atttaches. You can see it from the side but not the front of the iPad when detached.
[doublepost=1506489482][/doublepost]I am using this sleeve with my otterbox symmetry case and really liking it. I tend to not put the elastic where the notch is and more centered instead so that my pencil stays in place nice and snug in the otterbox loop. Sometimes I slide my magic keyboard and its case inside the elastic as well if I need a keyboard with me.

Here is a picture with my iPad in the case. I let the seller know which case I was using so the pocket would be the right size to fit. There is a second pocket I use for papers or sometimes tuck my phone inside it. My keyboard can fit in there if needed but since I have it in a case, I do tend to just tuck it on the outside under the elastic.

How do you like it?[/QUOT]

I liked it a lot, build quality is good for me. Carrying it every day for 2 weeks now and no issues with the leather.
I purchased the brown color, i can say except the leather is using PU Leather. The design and fit is the same as APPLE's

I have used Spigen brand cases for my cell phones for several years and have been very satisfied (I'm pretty clumsy so I usually drop my phone at least 5 times a day lol). Anyways, i was curious to see if they made any cases for my recently bought new ipad 12.9 and saw that they had a smart cover style case for it. I ordered the spigen case and it came in the mail yesterday. Putting the case on the ipad was a breeze and had clipped on perfectly to the ipad. Given that the ipad 12.9 is actually pretty huge, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it stood up when I put it in the staniding position. I even tried knocking it over but it wouldnt budge. The cover felt really good in quality although I knew it wasn't genuine leather. I'm happy :D
