I ordered the Khomo case from Amazon. It's the closest thing to the old Apple Silicone Covers that I've found so far.

How is the weight? Does it add a lot to the 12.9?

No idea of the similarity, but I had the slim Khomo case for my IPP 12.9 Gen 1. I replaced it probably 4 or 5 times, which at 7 or 8 bucks wasn't the end of the world. But it was utter trash and every, I mean EVERY corner on my cases ended up cracking and/or literally breaking off.

Absolute junk.

I have the 12.9 2017 and currently use a Speck case which I am quite happy with as it has a place to store the pencil.

However, it's a bit heavy so when I am just reading magazines etc. on it I am looking for something a lot lighter that looks good.

Any ideas?

Got myself UAG Metropolis case. Very satisfied, even started to thinking about dropping my Smart Cover whatsoever. Using iPad with Magic keyboard and Pencil - this thing now has less chances of getting lost with this case :)

Do you think it will affect a glass screen protector? Does it curl up over the sides? Thx!

I bought the Khomo case for my iPad Pro 10.5” and I cannot see it affecting any screen protector in any way. It comes over the sides just enough to keep it securely in place. It’s a nice case and you can’t beat the price. It works perfectly with the Apple Smart Keyboard too.

Thanks for the info! It looks like an awesome case. Probably going to order it.

I too have the UAG case. Only real negative (other than possible screen protector issues on the corners) is that if you are not careful the pencil cap can get knocked off. Had it happen in my car. Got one of those cheap leashes for it though and it has been fine.

Lot's of plastic and tough looking cases listed so far. How about something a bit more elegant and upscale? If you're a professional or looking for something more professional in both it's design and execution, I would have a look at something like this. The integrated Pencil pocket can't be beat. I have the one for the first 12.9 in black and it's awesome.

This actually looks pretty nice.

I'm using the 2017 12.9 jetech case. The back feels like a rubber texture but it's not pliable. It feels nice and has a nice grip. It comes with a cover that seemed much like a Smart Cover only connected to the back. I'm very pleased for the 15 bucks or so I paid for it.

Curious if anyone is using the new otterbox for the 12.9?

The screen protector on prior otterbox cases has always drove me nuts and I found it too noticeable..I wonder if that's still a problem? I know people cut it out, but I'm not sure I want to do that..

I'm also not sure I want to give up the smart connector...

How is the case holding up ? I'm thinking about getting one. Is the stand sturdy ?

View attachment 708250 My UAG Metropolis case has arrived. Really pleased with it

Hi, how is the case holding up?

I also have the UAG case in cobalt blue and although it does add some bulk, it provides protection. I am also using the AK and it can all fold in together. I also got a leash for the cap on the pencil and the Lightning adapter, so I do not loose them. This IPP 12.9" lives on the counter in the kitchen and is the go-to device for something quick, or if we need to print something. It just all works and is ready to go.

Thanks for the reply. I've been trying to find reviews on YouTube but most of them are kind of vague.

Even though it's on the expensive side, if it does a good job at protecting the iPad and the stand is stable then it would be worth it.
