Out of curiosity, has anyone with a Cellular version gone to prepared for shipment yet? Still expect it on the 31st, but it is interesting trying to figure out patterns.

I ordered on B&H and the transaction was completed 6 minutes after the site was available. I hope they will start shipping soon. Those who have some experience with B&H please let me know if you think I will get the iPad by Friday since I have that shipped to my office.

Got mine from B&H so it won't be shipped until the 31st. For $100 savings on sales tax, I'm perfectly willing to wait 3 extra days to receive mine. :p
I hope you get yours shipped soon. I also ordered mine on B&H (my first time with them). I do not know what to expect, but i have heard good things about this vendor.

I want to add AppleCare+ to my order that hasn't shipped. Can I call customer service to add it before it ships?

Thanks

I don't see why not. Try chatting with them and that might be faster. I know it might be a longer hold time to call apple cause of the 9.3 issues.

Oh, I don't do it super often. Just often enough not to be red flagged. Hey, I'm still using an iPad 4 and Air. Granted, I typically have a $1-3K spend on electronics every year (not necessarily on Apple products). Right now, I'm also absolutely tempted to get the 12.9" iPad Pro 128GB LTE ($950 at B&H) but I've got other priorities.

They will probably update the pro 12.9 in the fall. Might be a good time to buy. The price on the older model will go down too!

I've bought lots of stuff from B&H (laptops, hard drives, PC parts, etc). I've got no complaints. Obviously, cheap/free ground shipping from east coast to SoCal isn't going to be next day so I'm not expecting mine until April 5 or 6.

Nah. I only have one iPad in the budget as I've got too many other expenses this year (new car, 2x Synology 8-bay NAS with associated HDD costs, cousin's wedding, maybe a trip to SG to see some friends). My poor, poor bank account. :(

My Rose Gold 128 LTE is also preparing for shipment as of this morning.

My pink Smart Cover arrived today as well as my Anker glass screen protector.

4 more days!!!

Can I ask what screen protector you got for the iPad? Also do you plan on using the pencil with it? Thanks!

I was going to order from them(Since sales tax here in Cali is ridiculous and B&H is no sales tax but I was just concerned if they are an authorized reseller of iPads..lets say I get the iPad and I have issues with it(Within the 1 yr time frame) can I take it to the apple store and if they cant fix it I get a new replacement?

Yes, I believe they're authorized. I even got AppleCare+ with my iPad Pro purchase and it said it was automatically registered.

They've been authorized retailers for Apple in their brick and mortar stores but it seems now, they're also authorized for online sales.

Don't even worry about B&H. They are top notch and been doing this a long time. Authorized dealer and all that.

BH is very good, I've used them before. No sales tax is great.

Just ordered mine. 32GB Rose Gold + Red Smart Cover.

Carefull. Apparently the new smart covers hang off the side of the iPad with no case. :(

Yup. This.

I ordered the 128GB Space Grey Wifi. Can never justify the Cellular models for how little I use it. i just tether the 2-3 times a year I need it. Also wish they would offer another color with black bezels.

I do want to get a cover for it, so I'll get a bit of color that way I guess. Not thinking I'll get a smart keyboard, as I actually like a smart cover + Apple Wireless Keyboard combo for when I do need a keyboard.

See my previous post, Apple's covers will hang over the edge of the device with no case unfortunately. I'm not sure if I'll get one now.

And if there is a problem with the iPad I can take it to the apple store and they can try fixing it(And if they cant fix it I can get it replaced with a new one) darn Cali sales tax, as you know, 9.25 percent sales tax makes it about 810 after tax so yeah if I could save on that that would be great just wanted to be sure about exchange if there is a problem

She mentioned trying to avoid sales tax (9-10% in LA county depending on City).

Income-based use tax is lower. :p

SoCal(Los Angeles County) 9.25 percent so the iPad would around 810 dollars with the darn tax

Not quite. Los Angeles County is currently 9% (although it did go up to 9.25% and 9.75% a couple years back but the special assessment already expired). Most municipalities in the county don't add to that and are also 9% (e.g. Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, etc). Then you have municipalities that charge more than 9% (e.g. Inglewood & El Monte 9.5%, La Mirada 10%).

This would be my total if I bought it from Best Buy
Product Total:
$749.99
Shipping:
FREE
Sales Tax
$67.50
Recycling Fee:
$3.00
Order Total:
$820.49

Too bad at Target they dont accept the registry coupon for electronic items otherwise that would be a great savings..but first have to unload the iPad Air 2 that I have currently, its time for an upgrade but so far not a single soul wants it

Curious. Source/picture?
