I ordered this one. Dimensions seem right.

Sanoxy Laptop Sleeve Case 11 12 inch Computer Bag Notebook Smart Cover for MacBook, 12 Inch Black (SANOXY_LTPSLV-12IN-BK) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HDU1NRE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_ScYqwbSWKSJD5

Thanks. I'll pick that up for now. I like that there isn't a zipper that could scratch too. Thanks again.

I wish Apple had made a silicone that was a full case rather than needing two parts that cost so much and again, I'm not sure about those magnets snapping onto the aluminum over and over for the smart cover.

I was in an Apple Store today and I asked a young Geni Girl what she thought of the price fo the Pro in Australia, she said it was very good value for what it does, I thought she was joking, but no she wasn't she said it again. I pointed to the IWatch table and said it would be as popular as the watch. The store was crowded but nobody at the watch table, I told her I had never seen anyone at the table, she didn't know what to say.

I think I'll be sticking with my iPad Mini 4, the price of which still brings a tear to my eye every now and then, $700.

Hehe you're probably right. In saying that i actually can't fit all the Apple gear i have in my signature! I have bought 2 Apple Watches this year. But you're right. Hardly anyone but graphic artists will go the Pro route. Though i haven't had hands on yet, the Pencil does look amazingly responsive. So i think that will be the feature that sells it.

Waste of money! Your basically paying double the price of an iPad Air 2 for a larger screen and a pencil! Haha! Im a massive fan of Apple and buy everything they release but this is a joke. Sticking with my iPad Air 2. Would've been different if it ran desktop OS like surface pro runs desktop OS.

I agree with your comment about the price but I don't understand the fuss about the ability to run desktop OS. So you basically want a laptop with a touch screen, not a tablet with a mobile OS. they're completely different products.

Won't let me order the Space Grey 128GB WiFi+Cellular version on the UK Apple Store which presumably means they've sold out? I can select that option but then the Complete button is greyed out so I can't go any further. What a ****ing joke. Surely the world's most valuable company can do better than this every time they launch a new product.

Guessing it's due to not a huge amount has been produced

I've just tried that option and it lets me add to bag. Did you remember to skip the free engraving option?

I went to an iPad Mini because the first and second generation iPads were too large and too heavy to use comfortably.

Why on earth would I want an iPad that is bigger and heavier than any there has ever been?

The iPad Pro isn't going to replace a laptop. They can say all they want it can/will but it won't. It's just a larger iPad, other than the Apple Pencil there are no new features and the Pencil is only going to help artists. I have a rMBP, there is no way I would not use that for creating something over the iPad Pro. I still bought one, I want a larger iPad. If Apple was serious about the Pro replacing laptops it would have 256gb of storage or more available. At the very least it needs an SD card slot, but we all know how likely it is that ever happens. lol.

The problem with the Surface 4 is it's not great at being a tablet because, 3-4 years into Windows tablets there still aren't a ton of apps. Which means it's more of a very expensive laptop with a horrible and expensive keyboard, that can be used in tablet mode. And it runs Windows, which gets worse with every version. For the price of a Surface 4 with the keyboard, or the Surface Pro 4 with a keyboard, you can get a superior laptop. There are tradeoffs in everything no matter if it's running OS X, iOS, Windows, or Android.

And I would skip the Apple keyboard for the iPad Pro. If you need/want a keyboard look at the Logitech one. I've had Logitech keyboards for iPads and the Logitech Pro for the Samsung Note Pro and they are great keyboards. They're not as thin as a smart cover like the Apple keyboard but every review I've read so far of the Apple keyboard is highly critical.

Thank you for saying this out loud. I find it extremely comical that people keep praising the surface pro when it's just a glorified tablet running a desktop OS with a hardware that's not good enough for desktop but software that's not good enough for a top tier tablet (sorry for the long convoluted sentence).

Must be you. I can still order the Space Grey 128GB WiFi+Cellular using the Apple Store App.

This would be a nice little thing to have :)

The non-love for my government for stealing insane amounts of money from me when I buy stuff aside, I have to say that the whole "lets cut the smart-case in two pieces and charge twice as much for it" shure is a les than lovable move..

It´s like $172,63 for both pieces..

I don´t mind the price of the iPad, it´s high tech and hard to design and produce, but 2 pieces of $1? rubber/fabric for $170+ is a bit steep.. :)

why bot? ipad is not suppose to fit in your pocket

Wouldn't even let me get that far lol. Guess I'll just have try my local Apple Store on Friday morning and cross my fingers. There doesn't appear to be an option to click and collect. Did that with the 6s and actually managed to get one on launch day for the first time ever.

Honestly why don't they just manufacture more. They must know the demand will far outstrip supply as it does with every new Apple product launch. I don't believe Apple management are that clueless. I'm convinced they do this deliberately for the publicity. If we could all walk in on launch day and buy one it wouldn't have the same news impact.

To each his own, I guess. I've had a 3rd gen iPad and a Nexus 10 and I've always found them both too small for my tastes. Admittedly, I don't carry tablets too much around. Only used in bed or on the sofa.
