Hmm the price of the iPad Pro128GB WiFi and keyboard cover and pen in the UK is more then the base level 13" MacBook Pro. You have really got to want that pen to buy one.

To me its poor value especially when compared to the Surface Pro which is cheaper. But if your an artist then it will be a good product to have, and the value will be better because you get a fancy 'Pencil / Stylus' to draw or paint with.

Wouldn't even let me get that far lol. Guess I'll just have try my local Apple Store on Friday morning and cross my fingers. There doesn't appear to be an option to click and collect. Did that with the 6s and actually managed to get one on launch day for the first time ever.

Honestly why don't they just manufacture more. They must know the demand will far outstrip supply as it does with every new Apple product launch. I don't believe Apple management are that clueless. I'm convinced they do this deliberately for the publicity. If we could walk in on launch day and buy one it wouldn't make the same news impact.

Are you using the iOS app? I could get to the stage where I had to pay but I'm not going to splash out £900 to prove you wrong. :D

um, you made the claim, I asked for proof. I'm not doing your research for you. You'll need a standardised Apple device for say 3 years, along with the 3 years of the US and UK prices, and the exchange rates, along with the applicable tax regimes applying at the times.
And do the math too.

Ok. I will get started right after I finish a dinner for you as well.
Can u use a toilet all on your own, or u need help there as well?

EOD from my part. No point in doing kiddy conversations :)

I pointed to the IWatch table and said it would be as popular as the watch. The store was crowded but nobody at the watch table, I told her I had never seen anyone at the table, she didn't know what to say.

Funny I heard this all the time here but when I went to Apple Store to buy a new band, guess what I found? Oh, 4-5 customers trying a watch in front of me.
Had never seen anyone? ROTFL.

I'm sure there are orders flying through the Apple store as I type, but I just don't get it.

For the price of a 128GB iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard I could buy the entry level MacBook with 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM.

Why would I buy an iPad Pro?

I agree with your comment about the price but I don't understand the fuss about the ability to run desktop OS. So you basically want a laptop with a touch screen, not a tablet with a mobile OS. they're completely different products.

No, same product just different software.
Almost like saying you should buy two TV's one sports the other for news

Oh i'm in tears (with laughter) Only $165 for the Apple Pencil in Australia!
$1699 for the 128GB Cell version.

What a joke.
It's our stupid low Aussie dollar. Do the conversion:

A$1699 less GST is A$1545.
A$1545 is US$1089

So we pay US$10 more or less than 1%.

The iPad Pro is expensive yes, but it's not unfairly priced against the US$. The issue is our piss-weak Aussie dollar has much less buying power now than it did.

Just tried the Apple Store App on my iPhone instead of the Apple website and it lets me order everything with no problem. How crazy is that. I wonder if that's deliberate to reward iPhone users. Anyway, thanks to all those above who suggested the App. Much appreciated.

So Apple Pencil comes next week. But can we try it out in Apple Stores from today?

Australians don't like wearing kinky stuff. I was there when the watch landed, no one at the table, never has been any time I've been there.

You just know this will be a good time for Apple to show off ads.

Doesn't matter weather the watch is that universal.... we just don't go all in for tech stuff like U.S and Canada do to that same extent.

Then why is the Surface Pro 4 128GB I5 only $1497. Apple is one of the only companies that charges the full exchange rate. TVs etc are still relatively cheap in Australia as well.

I think (maybe at least initially) it will be popular but I can't help but think the price is a major stumbling block. You can get a full blown laptop for the price of the iPAd Pro (and assorted peripherals). Its a nice idea but because its only running iOS I wonder how much more useful it will be vs. a full blown desktop OS

I went to an iPad Mini because the first and second generation iPads were too large and too heavy to use comfortably.

Why on earth would I want an iPad that is bigger and heavier than any there has ever been?

Simple, to replace a thinner, lighter Macbook :) (edits: not a good selling point)

On the other hand, the larger screen, i could see myself this has a replacement of my mac..... I won't fault Apple for..... It me..

I just gonna do things differently. Probably not for aggressive video editing
