A Friday (Nov 6) release date sounds more likely than an international holiday release date (Nov 11: Veteran’s Day - US / Armistice Day - Europe). Then again, I suppose the higher ups at Apple could be so out of tune with the military they don’t realize this.

Really hope 6th November is the release date. If so, I imagine preorders tomorrow to arrive by Friday?

Glad to meet you dubious, I'm Tom.

I love the easy ones.:D

If you don't know if anyone is going to buy one then look at the next thread asking if anyone is going to buy a iPad Pro. 60.9% of the 138 respondents say yes. One of them is me. So yes people are going to buy them.

You might also look at the "What configuration are you going to order" thread, as almost all respondents there are ordering one, and take note of the configuration they want. A goodly number plan on ordering the 128 GB with cellular data. This is the most expensive model, so price is not going to keep too many from ordering.

I actually hope that not TOO MANY want them on the first day, because that improves my chances to get the one I want.

Just bought the ATV4 when I already have the ATV3. Do I need it, hell no
I just wanted it.

Have an iPad Air 2 but I will definitely be getting the Pro. Just love new Apple
stuff! My wife fails to understand this condition, strange!!

Everybody seems to be pointing to the same article, saying its the 11th and stating it as fact. 9-to-5 Mac is the source of every single one of the articles that are mentioned here. Again, it's a rumor, with uncited "multiple sources". Until Apple announces the actual date, I'll consider multiple inputs...

Ok...ive been following the ever elusive release date rumors for a month now because I'm dying to get my hands on an iPad pro.

I don't buy the whole November 11th date. 2 main reasons..one, its a holiday here in the US and apple has never as far as i know, put out a product on a national holiday. (this being veterans day).

2 Its a Wednesday. Apple usually releases there products on Tuesdays and fridays. Now thats not to say that apple won't release the iPad pro overseas on that date where its not an American Holiday!

Also, please, stop with this whole "Just because it was reported on this website its official" date of the 11th. Ok.. Until Apple.com says so, then its rumor and speculation at best. Need i remind you all that just a day before this rumor there were articles pegging the 6th as the release date?

Would be nice if the release date is this friday .. would mean preorders would possibly go up tomorrow .. similar to the apple tv 4

9to5Mac has an EXTREMELY reliable track record on this stuff, especially over the past couple years, for what it's worth.

This is just like that MacBook situation where everything just kind of trickles out. Best Buy had it in store before the Apple Store did. I don't even think you can buy a MacBook at the Apple Store still to this very day.

Does there even need to be a preorder on this? Demand probably isn't going to be high given the price and the average Joe/Jane consumer might not be in the market for it.

Target has never been wrong about these things....but then again neither has 9to5.

And my brother has had every iPhone since the first. Does the whole 'buy it and sell it a year later' And has ever never dropped his iPhone. Until this weekend when he did. Didn't just drop it but dropped it down a flight of concrete stairs. screen was toast, body was dented to hell. No Apple Care, no insurance. Can't even call phone support and trick them into selling it to him cause they have to run a remote diagnostic that requires the user to approve the connection and the phone won't respond to any touches.

So never say just cause something hasn't happened yet it is impossible.

I have confirmation from Bestbuy that we are getting it the 11th. Not sure about anywhere else but we will have it in stock.

I just got word from Apple. The iPP is dropping next week on the 10th... Actually when I say "Apple" I actually mean my cousin met a guy who dated a girl who walked into an Apple Store... and then left and mailed a package. But the mailman who picked up the package was once a college room-mate with a guy named Joe. Joe had a second cousin twice removed who knew about a place that served coffee to a lady that met a guy who talked to a friend about another friend who says they have a step brother that saw an Apple employee talk to Tim Cook about the 10th being the release day... I swear I'm not making this up, its all true.
