It's better to sell your product yourself in ebay to consumer in Brazil. Apple sells iPad in Brazil starting at $1549 16GB wifi only.

The problem in those countries is that they have strict import/export policies. You can't really ship expensive electronics from the US to those countries because the people working in customs will keep them. That's why people there rarely buy stuff from the American eBay.

wut

$300 for a flawless 32GB 3rd gen... I sold my 16GB on eBay for $460 with leather SmartCover.

Disagree. CL buyers are the cheapest, flakiest, most aggravating people to deal with. Never again.

I think it more or less has to do with the clientele. I am in the process of helping one of my newly retired family member sell many of their tools, as they were a construction worker, and Craigslist has been great to us. Everyone who has purchased from us has paid the price we asked, and come on time to pick their stuff up. With no fees or anything imposed by CL, I will certainly be using them more often.

I'm sorry, "chief gadget officer" really? Sounds like a joke title I would use for myself if I starred in a spoof on a Jony Ive ad.:p

I really think people underestimate how many people value "having the best, latest one out there". It's everywhere all over the tech community. Even here. Look around....LOTS - and I mean LOTS - of people are selling iPad 3rd gens as quickly as they can. They don't "need" the A6X. They just want the best. At any REASONABLE cost. Bleeding edge.

Yeah, I'm not surprised either. I've been privileged enough to see market research on the 'average' upgrade cycle for Apple products (Mac and iOS), and what it breaks down to is you have ~60% of people using something until it breaks/is obsolete, and the other ~40% tend to upgrade every refresh, regardless of frequency.

Honestly, if Apple released the iPhone 6 tomorrow, I bet we'd see the same thing on Gazelle that we're seeing now.

For items like this I prefer Craig's list. I want to meet the person who's buying the product. EBay and Amazon Marketplace protect the buyer not the seller.

False. You get seller protection if you print your label from the interface and select 'signature confirmation'.

why on earth would anyone use Gazelle, IDIOTS

they offer me around $300 for an 32GB iPad wifi + data. i got $400 for my iPad 2 wifi just 2 months ago and i'm sure i can still get well over $500 for the 32GB iPad 3 + data on ebay

Folks are RUSHING to sell the discontinued Ipad 3....DOUBLE the CPU and DOUBLE graphics performance, faster wifi, and new connector have these folks wanting the new one...

Don't people realize if they trade it in for $300 it's worth $600?
You can sell an ipad yourself on craigslist and make much more.

People are either lazy or this country is far from the recession we keep hearing about.

I'm sooo surprised that a site that resells gadgets isn't going to give me exactly what it is worth on the second-hand retail market. It's like they want to make a profit like some sort of successful business.... crazy

Amazon was giving around $400 for a 16gig trade-in as of this morning. I'm not sure what it's at now.

32gb at&t is $540, not bad as marketing value is about $560-$575 right now for the 3rd gens.

However, with Amazon, its their gift card, not cash. Lame!

haha, its stupid to sell to a reseller, unless you are desperate for $

It is not that Gazelle is crazy is is people losing that much money selling to a re-seller that makes little sense. They have to make money, that is what they do, also the reason I would never sell to a re-seller, I rather not lose money.

It looks like folks are desperately wanting the increase in processor speed and graphics on the new ipad.

Will they sell iPad 4 when Samsung Nexus 10 (with 2560 x 1600 resolution) will be announced next week? Or will they stay with inferior iPads?

As long as it's Apple vs Samsung, the Apple won't be seen as inferior. No matter what.

No iOS, NO CARE.

Watch it happen.

No Apple fan will care, and the sales won't even come close to touching iPad. Ever.

what's the point? it's ludicrous. its insane to see how people became obsessed with these spec bumps and how easily they trade their money just for a minor change. the damn thing is just as good as it was 5 months ago. god sake... grow up
It would be hilarious if this is just an interim update for the sake of switching to the Lightning connector, in which case the established yearly cycle is still in effect and the 5th gen iPad will be released in March, then these spec bump-chasing freaks will have to sell their 5 month old iPads...
