What exactly are you saying here? That because Apple doesn’t address literally every complaint of every user, no matter how unreasonable, that means they don’t listen to feedback? 🤨
if you're going for portability to do real work, you wouldn't use a 16 inch MacBook Pro or a desktop. What if you are a MacBook Pro user like 16 inch or a desktop mac user…
This is actually truly unbelievable. I was missing Slide Over and was holding back on updating a couple of my iPads because of it.YES!
To all those that say Apple aren’t paying attention to feedback on forums and in general discourse, I present to you this reversion.
What if you need very powerful performances and wanna use iPad when you don’t need those. Tho the iPad is still powerful enough and can run well multitasking…if you're going for portability to do real work, you wouldn't use a 16 inch MacBook Pro or a desktop.
Yes, we need full screen windowing just like it was on iPadOS 18, with Slide Over included of course. We need simple split screen when using full screen apps, that’s what people want back
MacBook Air has the same m4 chip. MacBook Air has more memory too. MacBook Air is more powerful. What if you need very powerful performances
I'm an illustrator and I multitask between procreate and other apps. again: if it doesn't make sense to you it doesnt mean it's the same for everyone else.Objectively makes zero sense. People who think they're doing real work better than a Mac on an iPad are kidding themselves.
Hilarious you think you can do that work better than a MacBook with Wacom.I'm an illustrator and I multitask between procreate and other apps.
Totally agree - only thing I would ask for though is an Apple-made remote-desktop app for iPad so we can operate our Macs. Like Back to My Mac.
I love how a random guy on Macrumour is teaching me how to do my work while i've been in the field for 20 years.Hilarious you think you can do that work better than a MacBook with Wacom.
Again: Objectively makes zero sense.
If you don’t like it don’t use it. You can use either the old mode or the new mode for crying out loud! Unfortunately for now Apple doesn’t make a super thin and light touchscreen Mac so until then we enjoy having the best of both worlds. Apple pushing this forward has lots of knock on benefits like background multitasking for things such as downloads and more and they’ve improved the memory management with swapping to SSD which is also beneficial for single app multitaskers such as yourself that like to swipe between apps.Overlapping windows makes zero sense on the iPad.
Let iPad be iPad and let Mac be Mac. This is so stupid.
People who want iPad to be a Mac are insufferable. Just buy a Mac.

But you didnt since windowing support has been around for several years via stage manager and even splitview and slide over require apps to conform to flexible width and height designs.already addressed this point: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...slide-over-multitasking.2468543/post-34205585
No it can't, I use the apple pencil to draw, highlight, notate. If you tell me to use a wacom then there is zero portability. I can't sit outside smoking a nice cigar next to my pool with a mac and wacom tablet.Mac can do that without an issue. Makes the iPad redundant.
Plenty of sense! Safari fullscreen, Signal in slide over for quick replies. Wish something similar existed for iPhones. Not as much as multi tasking on iPhones though, but quick access to an app, or a few apps.Overlapping windows make zero sense on iPad Minis, for instance.
I've addressed this point actually. But you didnt since windowing support has been around for several years via stage manager and even splitview and slide over require apps to conform to flexible width and height designs.

An iPad Mini is nothing like a macbook 13". You can't determine what others like/prefer/need. Now both those that like flexibility and those that want a enlarged iPod touch experience can enjoy iPadOS (and yes I think split view should come back for those that want that).Mac can do that without an issue. Makes the iPad redundant.
The new and deteriorated slide over. The new and un-improved slide over. 🫤
You're out of touch. An extremely large amount of people draw on iPads with Procreate these days. It's one of the most popular art programs around. Not only is the software very high quality, but the cost analysis of what you get is very good.Hilarious you think you can do that work better than a MacBook with Wacom.
