I don’t know about the “only good thing” but $449/549 for the 8/8 Plus is a really good price point imo. Expect the 4.7” model if not both to be discontinued in March if the rumored new 4.7 inch “SE” model is launched; it should be about $499.Only good thing about this event are lower prices for ip8 and ip8 plus

no wonder jony ive quit. he probably threw up in his mouth when the design team trotted this baby out.
Come on, guys and gals. It’s the back of the phone. How often do you look at it? And you’ll all get used to it anyway. JMO.
People are already eating broccoli and cauliflower, I don't see people leaving them for what asparagus has to offer.Feels like the movies service was a fail and they decided to make it free if you keep buying ipads and iphones or maybe that was the whole intention. Not really to compete with Disney or Netflix since i dont see people leaving them for what apple has to offer.
How would you have done it? Just curious
It appears most people are only interested in the camera features.
You can get a DSLR Camera (with lens) or Action Camera for half or a third of the price. On top of that most Cameras automatically sync with your phone.
As an amateur photographer, i always walk around with my Gopro Hero.
Even without that, the Samsung lineup is far more appealing. Aside from the camera, the same ole lingo from Apple "2x as fast". I was hoping to get it, but nope!Ok. Let’s see how that unfolds, or not.
Actually the notch is STILL very ugly ( especially in 2019 ) - just because nobody mentioned it doesn't mean it is beautiful or acceptable...At least nobody is whining about the notch anymore.
Question: During the presentation, while Apple lingered on the improvements to the cameras, they only showed one night mode picture then moved on. I didn’t watch all the videos posted, but did you have a chance to test it? Again, paranoid because of how quickly they moved on.
Apple today introduced the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max at Steve Jobs Theater. The media had the chance to go hands-on with the devices after the keynote and have shared photos and first impressions.
First Impressions
Most of the first impressions focused on the camera upgrades and slightly tweaked design of each new iPhone.
The Verge's Dieter Bohn said he prefers the matte finish and seamless camera bump of the iPhone 11 Pro:SlashGear's Chris Davies was not a big fan of the camera bump, but he does understand why it was designed the way it was:TechRadar's Gareth Beavis on the lower-end iPhone 11's cameras:Photos

All the bellyaching, people, come on! Moan, moan, moan. Camera bump? Really, who cares? Stick a case on it, and enjoy the ride. As usual, Apple provides killer phone with great camera, meets unbeatable app ecosystem, with seamless integration of unmatched services. This is Apple's selling point. If you don't like it, you're free to enjoy the misery of one of the competitors. But as regards this lineup, the only real missing feature is a silly gimmick anyway, which is stackable charging. How many people are actually going to use that?! Lets be real.
Remember, all corporations suck. They exploit us for profits in as many ways as they can. Apple adds a price point, and respects us a little bit more, most of the time. Criticisms? Sure, plenty (the iPad Pro cases are stupid... they don't protect the edge of the device at all... and the paint chipping off the iPhone 5 was an absolute con job pulled over on the consumer -- thanks Steve Jobs). But I'll stay with Apple, so long as the basic proposition remains so unbeatable.
In the long run, lets have worker ownership of all of Silicon Valley, and seize their stupid huge cash piles. But so long as we have to live in capitalism, Apple remains the best of a bad lot.
I just saw that, it's not a cluster of holes though is it.Thought I’d put this out there - silly season stuff, but we could have “Holegate” to face next...
Apparently the iPhone 11 Pro can trigger those who have a fear of small holes.

What will you say as people vote with their wallets and Apple sells over two hundred MILLION phones this year?? When they sell more than Steve Jobs ever did?? When Apple garners over 90% of the entire smart phone industry's profits?? It must hurt hating on some company that keeps making you look silly.
We all need to accept that they stopped trying and move on with our lives.
Its like camera lenses were an afterthought on this phone. Everything was probably wrapped up and ready for production when somebody in Apple went "Hey, where are the camera lenses?" and Tim went "Oh no" And Jony Ive went "Deal with it, Im out!". And then they outsourced the design to some Indian dude on upwork.![]()
