Carrier iPhone 11, Pro, Pro Max (2019) AT&T US Pre-orders, Orders and Delivery Status Thread

I had to contact AT&T because I received that same email, but when I looked at the customer service summary it still showed my xs max under the installment plan, but showed the upgrade charge.
My Pro Max Green 256 just went to preparing to ship! I wonder if ATT is factoring tracking their container of devices coming from China, or if they’re shipping initial orders individually out of China like Apple does? It’s crazy how good Apple has gotten at managing production and distribution on a global basis.
My order still shows as “In Progress.” Ordered at 7:50am EST. Also, still showing a delivery date of 9/20 too.

Checking order status shows In progress, but I can see my device on myATT app under manage device installments. It shows the iPhone 11 Pro Max “ pending contract”
I think we’re good though.
How does this relate to my question, aside from reminding me how I got cheated out of a 9/20 delivery date for no apparent reason.
I think they were pointing you in the direction of the correct forum since you stated you placed your order through Apple. The orders people are discussing here were placed through AT&T. You're welcome to discuss your order here if you'd like, but since it was placed with Apple the info here may not be helpful.
No AT&T and the other Telco Carriers receive 1 or more bulk shipments this week from China that are then broken down, entered into the carrier's fulfillment system(s) on Thursday and then shipped out to individual customers. In the case of AT&T, most customer direct orders will ship from Fort Worth on Thursday evening for overnight delivery on Friday. Emails with tracking numbers should start appearing late Thursday afternoon / evening.
Technically you are ordering an iPhone that is on backorder since AT&T has no stock until they receive bulk shipments from the Apple suppliers in China.

Yes, most of customers receive the email on Thursday, but that will depend on the state. For example, I live in Puerto Rico and I have never received an email a day before of the launch date. In my experience, AT&T send me the tracking number on Tuesday or late Wednesday using 2 Day Shipping.

Just checked my email from last year. I received the shipped email early Thursday morning 9/20 and the phone arrived at my door early Friday 9/21. I would expect similar this year. If I recall correctly however, I was able to see the tracking info late Tuesday or early Wednesday through my FedEx manager.
Well, I'll take this for a Monday. Both phones have changed status to "Preparing To Ship" with a still eta of 9/20. Ordered via At&t website about 3 minutes after ordering went live. Was easy until I got a notice 6 hours later stating my order had a glitch with my Pro Max one so I called At&t and they had to cancel my original order only to place a re-order.(grrr) I was really thinking that would cause a delay at that point but it looks like it didn't.
I don't believe anyone is allowed to receive the new iPhone 11's until September 20th. There are enough YouTubers who will want to be the first to do an unboxing so I'd expect there to be some as soon as people get their shipments or have gone by the store like Best Buy to pick their orders Friday. Just my guess anyway.

Is anyone else getting an email from AT&T, with a ship date of 9/19. Husband just got an email saying it will arrive Thursday. I don't believe it, but it will be cool if it happens
That is pretty cool. I know my eta initially was for 9/19 but it changed to 9/20 a few hours later. I just seems things are moving quicker this year than I remember when I ordered my Iphone X a couple years ago. Good sign many will get there's end of the week.
i just checked iJustines XS Max unboxing video and she released the video 9-18 before the 9-21 launch date.
