Now is the time to expand the lineup, years ago it wasn’t. Given the change in the markets Apple is trying to have phones at more price points.Steve Jobs came back and boiled the messy lineup down to a very simple product matrix. he talks about that briefly e.g. in the iBook introduction in '99. Now experts are commonly convinced that this was one of the key tools that made Steve Jobs so successful in saving Apple. Now with the remaining staff seems to -again- completely loose it's way and simplicity with the todays product lineup. they slowly degrade to the state once was before Steve Jobs came back...
You appear to have made a baseless assumption.Apple: Hmm... what do people want?
People [chanting]: Cheaper iPhones! Stop increasing the price of everything!
Apple: Oh I know! Let's release... an even more expensive iPhone!
Pro for a phone? 'Pro' has lost all meaning
Might as well add Cha-Ching to the title.Pro will likely refer to the price which I'm becoming increasingly certain they will raise. :-(
looks like ****, very poor design/ergonomics,
anyone know when the SE will restock?
the "pro" will have a 120hz display. mark my words @MacRumors
I think Pro will be for both the XS size and XS Max size, and there won't be a naming difference between the two, as there's no feature difference either. You'll just select a size like you do with the iPads, Macbooks etc. But the Pro naming differentiates the phones from the XR, which might as well just be called iPhone (2019?)
There, imo, is a target consumer audience for these phones. Consumers, who may not care about 5G, who are on older phones. The rumored feature set on these phones are fairly nice.
If price is an issue there always are android or other more expensive android models.
Ah, but you see people think 'Pro' means 'Professional' - but actually in Apple's case it means 'Profit'Well I fancy myself a bit of a professional cell phone user.
My bets are on either of the following:
Or:
- iPhone 11 replaces iPhone XR
- iPhone 11 Pro replaces iPhone XS
- iPhone 11 (Pro?) Max replaces iPhone XS Max
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 11 Pro (5.8-inch)
- iPhone 11 Pro (6.5-inch)
