Lol what’s with the bike?

Well, the bike is a Canadian Tire bike with a name that resonates well with the Apple stock market crowd.

It's a "super cycle" brand. :). It's pretty early here, but yah, I am being funny :)

As much as many people do not believe in the supercycle thing, this year I do feel it. It's going to be a "supercycle" iPhone ordering year this year. They will be breaking records in iPhone sales this year. So I am bullish on AAPL stock you could say :)

So - it's my attempt at a joke - The SuperCycle. For any Canadians out there who are Apple fans like me, they will get it. CCM and Supercycle were probably popular like the USA Schwinn bikes.

Is it still a thing where the phone ships to billing address with AT&T?
Our order went through with a different address (billing goes to a fam’s house which is fine, but just curious to if this will cause issues).

Anyone else have checkout problems? I teed up my order yesterday for iPhone 12 Pro. Went to apple store app this morning to finish order and had all kinds of problems processing order. Besides the store not being ready on time, I finally was able to complete my order by about 8:23AM ET after 4 or 5 glitches. Only then did I find out the my delivery date had slipped to Oct 30-Nov3. This is even though my order said it would be delivered by Oct 23rd!

After all these years u think Apple would have this process running like a well oiled machine. Disappointing.

So my iPhone 12 Pro pre-order was placed at 8:15AM ET (to be delivered on 10/23), and I then went back and placed an order for the 20W adapter and silicone case, at 8:58AM ET (to be delivered on 10/21).

I got both confirmation emails. Assuming that Apple's W80* order confirmation numbers increase sequentially, there is a 3.3 million number difference between my two orders in only 43 minutes. 😮

That's 76,750 orders per minute, or 1,280 orders per second!

Didn’t get in until 5:05AM, on the app. Ordered the 12 256gig in Blue, launch day release. Also snagged the charging brick and MagSafe. Upgrading from an iPhone 6S + I’ve had since launch week. Very excited. I buy sim free (cricket is good locally and so much cheaper) and while I considered the 12 Pro I don’t need the extra camera and would rather have a few leather cases and MagSafe when they come out. I have a cheap plastic one on order from Amazon to hold me over till the leather can be ordered.

That's because you went through a pre-approval process! Most people have the phone saved to favourites and use Apple Pay!

Think before you type.
The pre approval is exactly the same as putting it in favorites. It didnt save a physical phone for you, just saved the configuratipon you want. Still had to complete the order process just like everyone else.

Think before you type!

Is your purchase showing up in the Wallet app or on your credit card's website? Apple Pay showed an error to me, but then like 5 seconds later I got the order complete thank you screen. Now I have an order number and receipt and everything, but I don't see any pending transaction on my credit card, and the purchase isn't listed for that card when I look in the Wallet app.
I just checked the wallet app and the first monthly installment amount is showing.

I was doing the pre-order (2 Pro's and regular 12) on my iPhone and after I put everything in the basket, it crashed! So I started again with the iPad and when I went to check out it said I can only order a maximum of 2 Pro models. I checked my basket and it had combined my iPhone basket with the iPad basket which gave me double of everything. Then it took ages to remove and then add back in which meant that shipping for the Pacific Blue slipped into November! Fcuking first world problems!

I'm going from an iPhone 6 that's on its last legs to the 12 pro, pacific blue. Excited! Never held out on upgrading a device for this long before.

Preorder was frustrating. I was ready to go at 7:59, but by the time I got through with an email confirmation, it was 8:20. Tried both online and the Apple Store app... I'd get through to the checkout page and then it would hang.

Also, for all of Apple's promotion of the Apple Card Monthly installments, I don't understand why I was unable to check out using them. On the Apple Store app, it only showed "pay in full" and the "Apple iPhone payments" through 3rd party financing as options. I had this same issue trying to go through the "get ready" process before the preorder and had hoped it would fix itself on the day of. Not so. I even called Apple support a couple of days ago and they had no answers. Monthly installments showed up as an option on the Apple website, but wouldn't let me check out. Oh well. Nov 3-6 delivery.

Ordered! I think I messed up and accidentally didn’t put financing on Apple Card on it. Any idea if I can change this later? I imagine Apple would be nice enough to let me change it without changing arrival time?

Is anyone having problem viewing their order status on the Apple Store app?
I got the conformation email but it does not show any orders in the app and it gives an error when looking up by order number.

I downgraded from my 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro…I'm hoping I'll like it just fine but if not I can always return it and get the Max
I did the same. I like a nice size screen but the 11 PM keeps falling out of my pocket. I want my phone to be wallet size again.

Ordered a 256GB Graphite Pro for myself and a 128GB Blue 12 for my daughter. Smooth and done. I got the email confirmation but under my orders nothing is showing up. Anyone else seeing that?

Same. Did get the email though. Probably just their system catching up.

I started trying right at 5 am Pacific time... got the finishing touches screen for 6 minutes, got in, placed my order quickly for a 128 12 Pro in Graphite, with a mag safe charger. At checkout, the site crashed, so I went back and did it again, and again, then, by the time I got into the bag, I had three duplicate orders totaling $5K of devices in the bag. After deleting the two extra iPhones and checking out using Apple Pay on my Apple Card, it shows October 28-30 delivery. I felt like I did everything right, but still got it wrong. Mag Safe shows Oct. 21 delivery. Final confirmation came through at 5:28am.

Yep - happened like that for me too. And when I tried removing stuff, the problems got worse. Then Apple Pay failed a few times.

Got 2 orders in instead of one order, so that's a bit of a thing, but maybe it's OK - one of my Mac buddies prolly will want it.

I also noticed my billing address was wrong in my Apple Pay - it changed recently, but somehow didn't change on Apple Pay wallet configuration so maybe I am to blame. I went and fixed my address. All is well. Hope you did get it all through. Too bad about the delays.

I'd rather order at midnight than early AM. My head don't work too good so early in the morning.

Supply is holding on really well. I think Covid-19 has had a massive effect on people's ability to spend thousands of dollars on phones that never leave the house.

Those of you who tried the web site, my condolences. The Apple Store app has generally been the most reliable way for at least the past 5 years.

I agree. I just checked (1 hour after pre-orders live) and the only one that is more than 2 weeks out that I can see is the 12 Pro 128. Not to bad, but I am sure Covid had a hand in it at least a little.

I am. Unlimited Go, but they said that plan didn't qualify through the chat and then ended the chat abruptly on Verizon. lol. So I'm getting someone on the phone to see if we can figure it out. From the looks of it I'd have to pay $10 more a month for the plan that gets me the extra $200. so I guess it evens out in the end? I can't get 5G in my area but I'll play their game. :)
Yeah, I was a little disappointed with this little bit of fine print from Verizon, but whatever, either way I wanted to upgrade from my iPhone X anyways so I guess so long as they are giving me the $10 credit to make up the difference I’ll live with. I was understanding that you got the trade-in promotion credit from Verizon if you already had an unlimited plan, I didn’t see anything about having to have 5UW unlimited until I went to preorder this morning.

I mean, its a disgusting method to do promotions, but whatever, I’ll get my new phone and that’ll keep my mouth shut. I have been with verizon for over a decade, so it shouldn’t surprise me but it still did. Lol.
