Can someone post a picture of what we are talking about here...trying to visualize what you all are seeing but maybe I am just overlooking it.

I just received my iPhone 12 leather case and yes its terrible, corners keep popping off ,I need a better alternative MagSafe case

Well I decided to initiate a return (that didn't take long). Unfortunately I am outside my return window for the clear case but oh well. Yet another dust collector for me. I could probably bring it in to the store to get a refund but not really worth the hassle in these times.
I have the leather case on my 12 ,its doing .I was thinking about the clear case but your saying it does it also ?

I know this is not the leather, but silicon has the same problem. And furthermore, look att the side of my case. A line that looks like two components have been forged/melted together. Return? Or am I too picky?

My white silicon case is the same,

I've the same issue with the apple cases for my 12pro. I tried 3 leather cases and one silicon. All pop off in the corners sooner or later.

One would assume they test the design prototypes before producing this thing. I mean that's one of the main usecases.. putting the phone with the case in your pocket.. and then the corners just pop off when moving. Considering what they charge for the case with this design flaw - it's ridiculous.

I’d return it. I didn’t get a chance to look at my black silicone case to see if it had the same problem before returning it.

Out of interest, did you get these all from Apple directly?
I’m so frustrated by it all 🥶

I noticed it today as soon as I put it in my pocket 2 corner edges come off. I will probably return it and wait to see if they correct it in the near future.

No issue with the Baltic Blue leather case for my iPhone 12 popping off at any corner whatever I try and do.

However, I’m more concerned that the case doesn’t wrap around and up to the edge of the screen. There’s a small gap between the band and screen (you can still see a bit of the metal frame from the front of the phone). Looks wise it doesn’t bother me but it’s a dust, lint and grit trap. Would be even deeper/worse with a screen protector.

Any case will gather lint/dust to some degree, whether the edges finish.
Just take it off every few days and clean it

Every few days!? I’ve got better things to do than do that! I’ve had cases since the iPhone 4 including most of Apples leather cases. On average I take a case off a phone every 2-3 months. And I work outdoors in all weathers. There never been a reason to take any case off every few days.

The more gaps a case has the more lint, dust and grit it’ll accumulate. And the greater the chance grit will scratch the phone.

My pacific blue leather case is quite tight, it is hard to get the corners out when I want to remove the case. Do you really get corners so easily?
Same here. However, I don't put my case in my pocket very often, so that may be what causes the cases to pop off on the corners.

I put my phone in a jacket pocket or sometimes a bag/backpack. But only extremely rarely a pants/trouser pocket. For me and what I do, it’s just not comfortable or convenient that way.

For people who have the problem - what type of pocket is the phone in?

Take the case off. Give it a wipe. Put the case on.

Takes what? 15-20 seconds out of your day? 😂

Yep, there’s already loads of things in life that only take 15-20 to do. It’s obvious that they add up. And unnecessary wiping is way down my list. Although some people need to wipe more that others🤣

And it is obvious that the more gaps a case has the more grit/dirt can get in and potentially damage the phone. The main point of a case is to protect the phone 😜

Sometimes a corner of my phone will pop out when taking it out of my pockets. That’s the only time it happens.

Genuinely confused as to why people are surprised this is happening.

There is one single magnet in the middle back of the phone, and there aren’t any really lips on this case like there were in the past. And remember, the 11 pro case snapped on the two bottom corners and didn’t fully cover the bottom so it held on tightly.

There are always sacrifices to be made when trying to make something aesthetically pleasing like Apple always does.

To the people who keep returning and exchanging , please stop being wasteful. This is going to happen, decide whether you’re okay with it or not

It’s not being wasteful if there are cases out there that do fit properly. If I’m paying £60 for a case I’m gonna buy and return as much as I need to to find one that suits.

and I did, five times.

The magnet does not serve as a way to help hold the case to the phone (flip the case over and feel how weak it is) it’s there as a pass through

I just got my baltic blue case for my Pro. Its been in my pocket a lot today and corner doesn't pop off. I don't wear skinny jeans just nice relaxed fit. If I press the case away from the corners, then it will pop up. Will give it a few days to see if I experience what others are seeing, as of now, it seems fine to me.

In my case it gets to the point that it flips the vibrate switch on. Twice today I has wondering why my phone was on vibrate.
