California poppy is really the bees knees this year. Looks lovely on every single photo I've seen so far. Also the Baltic blue is looking good. My poppy is arriving today supposedly (on a Sunday from FedEx?).
I’ve been wondering the same thing for a few days now. I can’t seem to find where their leather is sourced from this year.
I want that color too. The Apple store near me just ran out of the Baltic Blue. Guess I gotta wait now.
I should have gotten poppy for my blue mini, instead of the traditional saddle brown. That poppy looks great. I just ordered the Poppy.

Shoot. I ordered my first saddle brown leather case from Apple and was excited until I started seeing these California Poppy pictures. I wonder how it will look as it wears? I'm really tempted to swap mine out on Tuesday when my saddle brown one comes in.
Does anyone have a Meyer lemon leather case released last year and used it a fair bit? Should give an indication of how the California poppy would wear.
My brother had one on his 11 Pro from launch. It ended up looking kinda dirty in my opinion. I thought about California Poppy but then remembered how dirty the Meyer Lemon color looked after a year of wear. So I went with Saddle Brown this year and he got the California Poppy.
I dont believe i have issues with mine, but hard to tell since i got black. My opinion, i would get it swapped, or just return and purchase another one. Usually I’m not OCD about these things, but with the price increase, i would expect higher quality. Plus now you know theres a gap, it will bug you every time you look at your phone
Looked up some "Meyer Lemon iPhone Case Patina" pics from Google and they do not age that well vs the saddle brown. So torn. That California Poppy is just a beaut. I may just stick with the classic saddle brown though.
Don’t waste your time returning it, looks like all the leather cases have that gap around the camera cut out.

Gotta say I’m impressed of the weight of the Apple leather case which is 29.8 grams and the caudabe sheath is 28.4 grams which I thought was very light.

Yep. Both of mine have gaps. I think with a natural material lIke leather it’s prone to more imperfections like this. Doesn’t bother me at all.
I wouldn’t say Mustard, its got more of a darker or warmer tone. Here’s a pic with the camera flash.

Similar here with my Saddle Brown leather case for 12 Pro. I love the case so much better than the Silicon. It comes out of my pocket so easily. Glad I made the switch.
