I didn’t suggest people wouldn’t buy.
Holiday/year end is huge for Apple. Unless there is unlimited supply, which we know there isn’t, they will lose sales before year end because there won’t be enough supply.
Trying to squeeze in 3 month of sales into 1 month isn’t a good model. Demand will clearly outweigh supply.
this is called a perk, not a right. You can still exercise this benefit if you purchase a 6.1” iphone 12 or 12 pro. Be thankful that you have this benefit rather than upset that you can’t use it exactly as you wish for one year.
It’s unbecoming to be upset at Apple just because of this...

Out of curiosity what do you use two iPads for? (And potentially 3 if you end up buying as you say you thought initially).

year end is important at Apple...never said people needed to purchase phones by year end.
quarter/year end impact Apples earnings...and could impact the reaction the “street” has and all that could impact stock price.

the iPad Air 2 I had for university back in the day so now I use it to read a little before bed and the iPad Pro was a random purchase on holidays in Dubai as soon as I realized that there is not TAX in UAE, I just bought it 😅 I was actually thinking about using the trade in at the Apple store but they just offered me 120€ less than two weeks ago!
It's physically smaller than your 6s. Reality begs to differ.
The staggered release dates are a good idea. The demand for new design and new sizes is always huge, and now they're over a month later than usual.
Having different pre-order dates for 6.1, 5.4 and then 6.7 will keep things a little more under control for everyone trying to access Apple to pre-order.

As long as the 12 Pro Max doesn’t have ProMotion or some large differentiating factor, (other than the screen size haha) i’m all in on the smaller Pro model again.
Months late, no 120hz displays, same old huge and ugly notch, no real camera upgrade, no earbuds or charger AND its the most expensive iPhone ever...pathetic. Seems like a fantastic year to go Android.
This might be a possibility for me too depending on the difference in the 6.1" if the 6.7" gets too much larger
Possibly I might try a Pixel this time and hope it gets better OS update consistency than all the other times.
But their point it is will still be harder to reach the top because the screen is bigger. You can reach it on the 4.7, but most likely couldn't reach to the top of the actual phone, which is where the top of the screen will be on 5.4
And even if they still have the $$$, the second the dates slip past Christmas, they will pass.
Which part of “The iPhone is going to be late this year” didn’t you hear, when Apple announced that?

They are all ready. This is a marketing scheme to get you to not want to wait and jump on the iPhone 12 (reg size) because it will be the worst seller.
