Pre-order and launch on a Saturday? Highly doubtful.
Kang provides dates for his followers in China, which is day+1.

I didn’t suggest people wouldn’t buy.Well... this has been a strange year... hasn't it.
Don't you think Apple wanted to release new iPhones a month ago?
But they didn't. So we'll have to wait a little longer.
Fun fact... people buy iPhones ALL YEAR... not just on launch day. But there are some comments here suggesting that people won't buy iPhones simply because they are coming on a different date...
/shrug
I don't understand what the point is of announcing products and then not making them available for pre-order. Separately: these delays are annoying. My work has a BYOD policy where I can get reimbursed for a new phone I purchased before November. Delaying the preorder makes it such that I cant get reimbursed in this fiscal year (and effectively lose out on a year of this benefit).

Holiday/year end is huge for Apple. Unless there is unlimited supply, which we know there isn’t, they will lose sales before year end because there won’t be enough supply.
Trying to squeeze in 3 month of sales into 1 month isn’t a good model. Demand will clearly outweigh supply.
I made the reasonable decision NOT to buy it. My iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 10.5 will last me another year
But why do people have to buy before the end of the year anyway?
If you can't buy a new iPhone by December 31... you can buy one on January 1 and beyond.
I'm not seeing why Apple MUST sell a certain number of phones by a certain date.
Does it suck that Apple didn't have their usual iPhone event in September? Yes.
But we will adapt.![]()
With likewise adjustments, pre-orders for the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models could begin on Friday, October 16, one week after Apple's "Hi, Speed" event
Out of curiosity what do you use two iPads for? (And potentially 3 if you end up buying as you say you thought initially).
Every time I have purchased a new iPad I either sell the last one or give it to a family member.
It's physically smaller than your 6s. Reality begs to differ.5.4" is "mini"? my 4.7" 6s begs to differ.
Yes, I anticipate its going to be a bloodbath of an iPhone season.I didn’t suggest people wouldn’t buy.

Yes it is.When they give dimensions for the iPhone, is it measured diagonally similar to a TV?
This might be a possibility for me too depending on the difference in the 6.1" if the 6.7" gets too much largerIf you don't care about LiDAR and Telephoto, why do you want the Pro 6.1" ? Even if you add $50 for 128Gb option it will be cheaper !
I would skip the pro line and focus on deciding regular 6.1" or mini.
Possibly I might try a Pixel this time and hope it gets better OS update consistency than all the other times.Months late, no 120hz displays, same old huge and ugly notch, no real camera upgrade, no earbuds or charger AND its the most expensive iPhone ever...pathetic. Seems like a fantastic year to go Android.
But their point it is will still be harder to reach the top because the screen is bigger. You can reach it on the 4.7, but most likely couldn't reach to the top of the actual phone, which is where the top of the screen will be on 5.4The iPhone 12 5.4 is smaller than the 4.7 device because obviously there is more or less in this case, to a phone than the screen. Home button and the redic ancient bezel for one thing
And even if they still have the $$$, the second the dates slip past Christmas, they will pass.If the iPhone 12 Pro Max doesn't come out until late November, that's getting too close into Holiday spending time for most. Sales will suffer.
Which part of “The iPhone is going to be late this year” didn’t you hear, when Apple announced that?Another month to get the 12pro max very disappointed Apple.
5.4" is "mini"? my 4.7" 6s begs to differ.
Hey buddy how's your Note 20 ultra ? 1080p at 120hz sounds amazing 😂 lol 😂Months late, no 120hz displays, same old huge and ugly notch, no real camera upgrade, no earbuds or charger AND its the most expensive iPhone ever...pathetic. Seems like a fantastic year to go Android.
