True but does Apple charge restocking if it wasn't defective or an Apple error? If not then Apple takes a loss because they have to sell the returned ones as refurbs
[automerge]1602269842[/automerge]

It will be a Black Friday deal for the Max.
I think the 14 day return window is free, but outside that they would have to sell or trade in back to Apple for new device. I've never heard of restocking fee.... I could be wrong.

I read somewhere that there was a mistranslation. The 5.4 inch and the 6.1 inch on sale first, followed by the Pros later, not the two 6.1 inch phones on sale first. It will be interesting to see if this is or is not the case. No matter, I am getting th 6.1 inch Pro, my wife the 5.4 inch mini. It will be fun too see who gets theirs first.

This is one of the most appalling threads Iv'e seen in a long time. Between supply chain issues and the challenge of everyone working remotely, give some grace. Especially when they don't have a selfish incentive to hold back.
I know a lot of have it out for Cook, but the guy understands supply chains in consumer tech more than any other company officer. If he struggles with it and comes up short...guess what? None of you would have been able to fix it.
Life goes on. You don't need your new iPhone now, it can wait.
Try being a mountain biker. Half of you would have blown an artery when finding out the part or bike you want won't be available until the spring of next year.

Disappointed that the Mini preorder is pushed back to Nov. 7. Was looking forward to preordering next Friday. Oh well, my 7 can make it another month for sure.

Every other maker had normal launches this year. Are they somehow immune from the pandemic? Apple screwed this phone up every way possible. From release dates to garbage incremental updates to no 120hz displays or smaller notches, Its a disaster all around.

At no given point did Apple ever promise anything. Whether it be specs, availabilities or release date.

Stop being angry with effectively yourself for the expectations you have.

The only reason I bought 11 Pro instead of waiting for 12 was because my Iphone X battery was dying. Damn thing would drain so fast and it's battery health was down to 88% but felt like it was worse. I've had the 11 Pro for little over 5 months and battery health is still 100%. This things been pretty awesome. So no compelling reason to get the 12 yet.

People who aren’t around supply chain don’t get what is going on in the world and have a coronary when their estimated arrival date for a product keeps getting pushed back. I delt with a guy just today that couldn’t understand why his air filters are late. It was “unacceptable.” Yeah well, this whole year has been.

I completely agree with your sentiment. Grace is what’s needed now more than anytime I’ve been alive.

OMG... are you telling me that Apple will release 4 new iPhones this year? Four?

I am horrified. I don't know how they will ever survive. :p
That's easy, same as it has always been...Develop and produce great products people want to buy, many being repeat customers, who are willing to open their wallets and pay premium prices, year after year after year. On the average, Apple manufactures, ships, and sells roughly 600,000 iPhones per day, every day of the year.

People buy a load of drugs every year too.

That's a bit surprising. My iPhone X's battery health is 91% and I haven't noticed any change in drain. It's still a great phone, but I may get the 12 Pro mostly for its camera, especially in low light.

Maybe I got a bad battery? But I had the X for about 18 months before it seemed to deteriorate quickly the last month or so I had it. But my 11Pro seems to be doing very well for battery life.

Their shareholders care abut specs, availability and release dates. Many of us users do too. Apple is not in a good spot right now at all. Thats why their stock has taken such a hit the past 5-6 weeks.

Months late, no 120hz displays, same old huge and ugly notch, no real camera upgrade, no earbuds or charger AND its the most expensive iPhone ever...pathetic. Seems like a fantastic year to go Android.
No real camera upgrades? Sounds like camera will have massive upgrades.

android is a great option and make amazing phones but for many the OS and their devices is why that’s not possible.

for one if you love your Apple Watch there is nothing that can compete.

You can get the SE 2020, is the same phone with better screen and aspect ratio.

You will see the Iphone 11 vs 12 camera videos... LOL

Why do you continue to post this nonsense? As has been pointed out to you before, AAPL has performed the same as other tech stocks in the time frame you're zeroing in on. It has nothing to do with iPhone specs, release dates, etc.

What people sometimes seem to forget is that you can’t really compare the advertised screen sizes of two phones with different aspect ratios. Why? Because screen size is measured diagonally and not in actual square inches (or even better, cm2).

Since the modern iPhones (except for the SE2) all have taller displays than the older models, the screens will seem a lot bigger on paper than the old ones because of this.

I don't understand, how is it that the screen size is diagonally larger but its not really that much bigger? Its still one corner to the other corner.

Not for the non pro models. Even the pro hardly gets an upgrade. From an f/2 lens to f/1.6 and from 3x to 4x zoom, neat. If the Max gets the slightly larger sensor, that’s ok but still mostly insignificant.

That's a bit more than half a stop. I'll gladly take it.

I'm really hoping that the "Mini" has the same camera system as the current iPhone 11 Pro; I'm a big fan of the camera and would absolutely LOVE to have that in a smaller form factor phone for my pocket's sake! :) I personally don't care about LIDAR all that much, but the smaller form factor and better lenses and such in the 11 Pro made a big difference for me!

Months late? What are you talking about? You do realize we are in the midst of the worst public health crisis in 100 years. Supply chains are disrupted everywhere. There are production issues everywhere. How can something that was never guaranteed be late? Grow up. Seriously.
