When does Apple charge your credit card? I forgot how it was last year with the 11 orders.

My order is still on the "Order Placed" section in the order details.

I placed my order at 8amEST and I was just charged the tax for the 1UP. Usually they charge it once they start processing and preparing to ship.

I'm still surprised that they aren't pushed back yet. I guess demand wasn't as strong. (kinda annoyed I woke up early for me to order)
lol I woke up early had issues with the site, gave up and went back to bed. Woke up again 2 hours later to try again and it went through still delivering on Friday lol

All phones are available because Apple is not allocating many units to stores since almost all orders are being funneled through pre-orders due to the pandemic. They are probably able to free up millions of additional phones this morning because of that.
It’s weird though because the regular 12 pro model (in blue at least) went far quicker as I recall.

the old frenzy days are definitely over

Gold max was first to slip, about 25 minutes in. Eventually Blue, silver and grey... well those are readily available.

I paid through Apple pay and my bank already deducted the amount hours later, apple store still says "order placed" though.

It took me about 20 minutes to get in, but was able to order a blue 128GB iPhone 12 Mini. What was weird was that it opened up for orders on the app first, but when I tried to place the order, I got an error, so I had to wait for the website to work.

This is the first time I have ordered on launch day. Looking forward to a smaller phone.

Ordered just after 8am EST on att.com
Got an email saying getting order ready and another email will follow. Still haven’t gotten another email. Hoping my order went through. Any one else still waiting??

Posting again because Sprint support can‘t understand the issue.

act quick sprint users. Their system is not correct. You can get a 12 pro max with no trade-in for $11.66 a month (30 months). Must be a customer. Cheaper than trade-in option. 12 mini has no discount so they double dipped the savings on the pro Max by accident. You can get a pro max for $350 plus taxes. Same option for mini is $750...

Not sure if T-Mobile site has same mistake

Got on the app at 8am ET, picked the Pro Max 256 GB in Graphite and silicone case from my favorites, checked out in less than 1 minute. Delivery next Friday! Easy peasy. Just got a notification that my card was charged. That usually doesn’t happen until things ship! 🤔

It seems the online store didn’t process my payment for 3 hours, although it had already been taken out of my bank account. So those 3 hours pass and I got a delivery date of +5-7 days.

boo!

oh well, first world problems!

I would ask on the ATT thread, no one here is going to be able to answer that for you. 👍

placed an order for a 256GB Graphite Pro Max about an hour ago. due to be delivered 23-30 november. no payment taken yet. in the UK.

No it's not. I put the sim from my 11 pro in a 12 pro to check speeds and it worked just fine. If you have a sim that is more than a year old, it may need to be updated though.
Just because your SIM works, that doesn’t mean that its not important to have the new 5G SIM, to properly and fully access 5G on the network. T-Mobile, as well as other carriers have said that a 5G specific SIM is needed.

Doesn't change the fact that you can't blanket say no it doesn't work when it worked for me. If he has a current sim it will work. He didn't say how long he has had the sim card he is wanting to swap.
