I’m extremely pleased with my battery life. Took mine off at 100% @6:08am it’s now 10:15pm an I’m at 47%
Yeah I spoke too soon on that. After about 5 days in I noticed big improvements in the battery life.

As for the pro max, it is delivering excellent battery life so far..

Still getting used to the camera, coming from XS and the camera difference is amazing especially in low light

how do you like the PM, worth it for battery? I have been back and forth for same reason! back to pro now, because I like the size, the max hurt my hands and felt like a lot to carry ...

Same here. This year it is really the most difficult time to choose the size.
I love the Pro Max Screen Size, but sometimes it just feels so heavy in the palm and in the trousers.
Especially when picking up casually often just to check some messages, the normal IPhone 12 is very light, almost too light. It‘s difficult to settle on one size this year. Wish they make a Pro Max with Aluminium, a bit lighter would be perfect. And yes - please better screen calibration next year. 120Hz Pro Motion is a must on the Pro Models in my opinion.

yes exactly! the Pro size is perfect actually any good battery saving techniques besides turning off 5g? I think I will keep the Pro and forget the Max, its just too difficult with the size I am always on the go, go go...

I have the 12pro not max
I love it coming from an Xr. I find the battery life so far to be a little better. Even though it’s technically less mAh.
100%@10:55am now 10:00pm and I’m at 64% Plenty of web browsing little bit of games and texting with a few calls.
I Like the weight and size better, just overall feels smaller and easier to hold with the same size screen.

I have no idea how at 10pm you’d have 64%! I’m lucky to have 15!

After having the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max for a few weeks now, I tend to gravitate more towards the 12 Pro. The battery has gotten significantly better after the first week. The battery on the Max however has been fairly inconsistent. Some days it would be very good but other days almost as bad as the 12 Pro.

The size does seem a bit too much though. It "feels" significantly wider than the 11 Pro Max (which I thought was a good size). It's also uncomfortable in the front pocket. If Apple implemented an optimized iOS that made it easier for one hand usage (see: OneUI on Samsung), then it might be more enjoyable. The wasted space is quite annoying.

I am in the same boat as you guys. I have had the Pro Max for 2 ½ weeks and even with my large hands, it just feels too big. Especially when I am holding it and talking on the phone or in my pocket. My biggest worry is the battery life in the Pro, since that is what I think I am going to trade it in for, but it seems that you guys are Ok with the battery life? I am also concerned about the amount of people talking about the face scratching. Maybee this is just the early fake reports like when they said the iPhone X was bending after putting it in your pocket, which was not true. I do not want and never have used a screen protector. I am coming from the first X. I must say the camera on the PM is amazing, but I imagine the Pro will be the same? Waiting for my trade-in, which I stupidly sent in already comes back and then it is onto getting a Pro.

Have you considered a edge-to-edge screen protector that covers the notch? I have one on the 12 Pro and it's nearly impossible to tell that there is a screen protector on there.

Almost 2 months in not a scratch on the screen. No screen protector. Rarely even use the case I have. Very minor and I mean minor surface scratches on the stainless sides.
They don’t even come close to bothering me. I actually like a patina on shiny stainless.

12pm is awesome but today’s battery usage v yesterday is just odd. Basically used the same apps and look at the drain toddy v yesterday..

Sounds like a 12 would of done you, my black 12 has red showing in silent switch.
You are 100% correct, my primary reason for going with the 12 Pro Max was real estate. I'm 60 and had lasik at 53. While lasik has been amazing, there is only so much you can do for eyes when they get older. After my modifications to my display settings I'm certain I don't have any more on the larger screen than someone who has the 12, but my font size is larger, and my display size is zoomed.

I feel the same way about the wasted dead space on pro max. Too much of it. I feel like I just have this big screen just for the bigger battery.

So I am making a post in the iphone thread for the first time in a while. Yes I have upgraded my X to the 12 mini and it is absolutely the right decision for me.

I went to the X from the 6s and that from the 4. For as long as I've had the X I grew to dislike the size and weight of it and it's not even as big as the XR or Pro (obviously). Especially when you add a case. So when the mini was announced I new it was the one. So much nicer to hold, use and put in pocket. Looking forward to carrying this around all summer now as opposed to my clunker.

Apple engineers held the belief for a long time that smaller size was the optimal size for human hand/ergonomic use and they were right. They only made the phones bigger to cater to the android crowd that was supersizing their plastic phones so Apple followed suit. Well they are back to original blueprint and it feels damn good.

Went black 128 with the Cyprus Green silicone case for the military look looks great. No idea how the phone performs yet but looks cool. The thing is I don't really need to see if it's good I know it will be certainly better than the X which was a solid phone. I'll post a pick tomorrow. Best iphone I've ever owned hands down this one.

Coming from 1st generation SE, strangely I don't find the 12 Pro Max too big at all. My eyes are so happy with the big screen, and although it is quite a heavy phone, my usage of the phone hasn't really increased or decreased as a result.

I would say that I'm more efficient on the Pro Max because I can read everything easily at a glance and all the APPs load properly with the new technology. I do what I need to do and I put it down. Because it's big, subconsciously I hold the phone with more care, and hasn't dropped it or close to dropping it at all.

I'm still waiting for my Casetify impact case to arrive, which promises at least 6 feet protection from accidents. In the meantime, I'm using a non-brand clear case so I can enjoy the beauty of the gold color. I've been very happy with my purchase.

....And taking photos on this phone is a dream.

After using the pro max for two months, I can confidently say this doesn’t need a screen protector. I’m incredible impressed with scratch resistance so far. I’m not even seeing micro scratches that would show up by now. Ceramic Shield is no joke.
