Typical garbage android Samsung phone, UrAvgConsumer made a YouTube video using the phone for the whole day, for a 5000 mAh battery he only got 6 hours usage lol.

7" inch iPhone please with a 5000 mAh battery.

We all are different hence we’ll have different opinions.
Opinions on size and weight from people who haven’t held and used the device for a bit should always be taken with a grain of salt...

Very true, in saying that a lot of people want a even bigger iPhone 6.7" screen isn't enough, hopefully apple listen, wouldn't mind a 7" iPhone, knowing apple though, that wont happen till 2025.

Ugh, I don't know about you guys but I'm a HUGE sucker for big, heavy iPhones. They feel like a big gold bar with a screen on it and that's my favorite thing about it. It feels like jewelry to me.

I tried other non-Apple flagships and they all don't feel as high quality or premium. Even the Z Fold 2 felt kind of "cheap". There's something about the dense feeling iPhones have that makes me pick them over anything else.

What a load of nonsense has been written about the size of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It's enourmous! It's on the edge of being too big! It's too heavy! It hurts my pinky! I've been reading things like this for 2 months while waiting for mine to arrive. Now I have it, and I'm wondering what the hell everyone is talking about.

Coming from an iPhone Xr, this device is absolutely not too big. It's only a tad larger. After a few hours I didn't even notice the size difference anymore. And the issues with the pinky? C'mon. Seriously?

It's been well established that on the internet, the flock tends to run with the opinion that was first posted. I'm guessing that's what happened here. Some reviewers said it was too big, and many just went with it.

It's nonsense. Absolute nonsense. This device is awesome.

i love the size of the 12 Pro max, BUT, and i mean But...my wrists are actually hurting due to the weight of the iPhone 12 pro max, and having to hold the phone??? I am seriously thinking about going back down to the 11 pro max?? i surely do not need to get carpel tunnel syndrome? and no i am not exaggerating as i am in the medical field! Apple needs to stick/go back to the slim design profile. I am an apple user with all my devices..new macbook air M1, apple watch etc..but, how does android keep their phone slim factor and pack all the bells and whistles?? This was a big mistake by Apple to go to this new form factor!!!

I totally agree with you. I love the big screen real estate but just too heavy for
I didn’t even try the Max this time around. The last Max I tried was the XS Max and it was just too heavy and bulky for me.
I agree with you! the screen size is great, but having used the phone my wrists are actually hurting because of the weight and the new form factor? i really enjoyed the slim design of the 11 pro max? i am actually torn, and am looking at going back down to the 11pro max? i do not need any carpel tunnel? why can't apple stick to the same form factor?? was it due to the camera lenses? android seemed to have stuck with the same design?

It's so nice to have choices...Thank you :apple: (For me, the 12PM is outstanding. For others who want/need a lighter/smaller phone, its too heavy or big.). Everyone should enjoy the tech they like the way they want. If you don't like it, trade it in. If you love it, keep it.

just get an iPad mini...
well that seemed like a flippant comment? How about you make a substantive remark about the difference in the form factor of the two phones i commented about that may lead to this issue...the new form is horrible and the slim design is better for handling and for reduced hand exhaustion.i have no issue with size, its the weight and the new box design?

I didnt quote you. I quoted the guy who wants a 7 inch iPhone with a 5000mah battery. Might as well get an iPad mini. The "box" design is not new at all. Its a throwback to the iPhone 4/5.

I just feel if you can carry an iPad around your house you certainly can carry an iPhone pro 12 max!! LOL! not sure where everyone lives but here in the USA, many aren't or shouldn't be moving/traveling much...

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is a Trade -Off between having a large screen iPhone with great battery life which is heavy or a slim medium screen (I.e. iPhone 7) with 1/2 the battery life and lighter
Not everyone needs a large iPhone and that’s why they put out the iPhone 12 mini
Bottom Line: Don’t expect Apple to be Able to pack a smaller iPhone with all the features and hardware and battery life of a larger iPhone

I completely agree. It's only slightly larger than the 8 Plus I upgraded from. I have no problems using the device with one hand, or the weight, or the overall size, or whatever people are complaining about it. In fact I would say it could be a bit bigger even.

I think this thread demonstrates perfectly why there are so many different models of iPhone available. Not everybody finds ‘one’ particular model appealing. It’s absolutely fine to think the 12 Pro Max is too big and it’s fine to prefer it over the others. Everybody is right if they go for the one that appeals the most.

Compared to my old 8+, my new iPhone 12 Pro Max is
  • 0.09 inches (2.4 mm) taller
  • the same width (3.07 inches or 78.1 mm)
  • 0.01 inches (0.1 mm) thinner
  • 1.1 oz (26 g) more in weight (about 2 pats of butter)

True, but Apple did a hell of a job packing 95% of everything from the iPhone 12 into the Mini. It has everything but the larger battery.

Ever since the 6 Plus released, I have purchased the largest iPhone from Apple every year. Something about the 12 PM this year just wasn’t working for me. Could be the added weight, screen size, hard edges, or most likely a combination of the three.

Decided to make a complete 180 and purchased the 12 Mini and man I gotta say, I am in love with this thing! The negatives (such as battery life and camera sacrifices) more than make up for the fact that this is the most comfortable phone I’ve had in a long time. My nostalgia is strong with this one and there is just this indescribable joy in picking this thing up. I’m curious to see what phone I pick up on the next cycle. Anyways just my two cents! :)

This is my experience as well. I've had the 6+, 6s+, 8+, Xs Max, and the 11 Pro Max. The 12 Pro Max just feels too heavy - I can't stand any case that adds to this phone. Nekkid - the phone feels OK. But I haven't had a nekkid phone since the iPhone 5. While I like the square sides it makes the phone feel bigger - harder to hold.

I wish I had done the mini route. So many people I follow here that did the same and they're happy.
