My G0 is uniform and kinda good. The green tint at low brightness might be here, I don’t know actually, it’s grey but maybe a tiny bit green too. Anyway not too bad. But it also has a slight green glow/raised blacks with some flickering at some mid-low brightness lvl and that’s what bother me. Apart from that I would keep that screen
There was definitely some variances in uniformity across all three panels. But the common denominator in all three is a slight green tint. Very minimal but alas still present. I have 11 days to decide on what to do. I think the choice for me is , keep or just return back for refund. It costs me time and money ordering and traveling to the Apple store each time to pickup and replace.

We have the same dilemma. I have 7 days left to take a decision. Right now I’m leaning to a 3th and last try with return and re order. But Idk really not sur what I will choose to do on the end.

Reference image card #191919 . I just took some photos with no image optimization on, since I noticed that using that enahnces exaggerates the green tint issue. Photos taken using variable display brightness levels, within a dark room. Subjects are iPhone 12PM and Note 20 Ultra. True tone and such turned off.

Got my G0NDL replaced with G0NDN. The issue Persists. This time the Genius Bar guy showed me on his tab what it said for their service resolution. It said something like in the article on macrumors That Apple is aware of it. And it is a firmware issue affecting a some devices. They were suggesting to keep the device updated and it will be fixed in a future update. But they weren’t sure how long it might take or if it will definitely get fixed via software. Decided to keep the current phone for now and see after a month how this turns out. Apparently they will start replacing screens once they are available if the issue doesn’t get fixed via software.

Makes sense, the s20 had this issue and Samsung pushed out a fix. Reference green tint. But that merely masks the issue. Not that I care.
I’ve got 11 or so days , I’m done replacing. I’m only now considering refund as my only option.

iOS 14.4 Beta 1 still not fixes the raised blacks.

Have a iPhone 12 Pro Max G0ND

Screen unformity is Good for me but the true blacks Problem is still there ...

Yeah I had tried the 14.4 beta on my last phone. Didn’t fix it. And I told the same to the Apple support people also.

G0NDV here.....so if I watch the video on lowest brightness in the complete dark and I can’t see my phone I’m good to go?

You have to wait some time in the complete dark room otherwise you won’t see the green/gray/flicker background on a 100% Black video.

But this have nothing to do with raised blacking watching 100% black videos or 100% black photos. We have to inform apple about the problem. More people have to inform the apple support about this otherwise it will never be fixed in the future ...

One must note also, that some cameras have a scene optimization that exaggerates the green tint. I know on mine it did. I had to turn it off.
True. Especially with the green tint. But the change in screen temperature is really as bad as it looks in person. Storage the glow can be ignore when there is some other content to look at on the screen. But this is changing the color altogether.

I know it’s off-topic. Just giving an update on my replacement.

Yep, I just made a phone call funny enough and use a pitch black amoled wallpaper and it appears raised black and green tint.

Phone call is not 100% black. This is grey and normal. Tested with 11 pro max!!!

Test software update screen in dark mode. This should be 100% black.

My phone call is 100% black. My dialer screen.

no matter what my background is. I tap the phone icon and black screen.

He asked about the calling screen when you call someone not the dialer ... and this is grey.
The dialer app should be 100% black that’s right! ;)

Okay thank you. :)
I think it is a software issue that the LEDs are not right coded to turn off 100%. So if it will be a 100% hardware issue, why can the LEDs fully turn off on 100% brightness?

Compared my 12 PM with an iPhone 8+ and the blacks look better in every way but the LEDs still do not fully turn off until you raise the brightness to 90% or more.

No problem.
Limeybastid can you also contact apple support for the OLED Not True Black problem even with a picture?
More and more people have to complain about this for a fix ...

Everyone should report about this here and send them this picture about the issue
