Okay thank you. :)
I think it is a software issue that the LEDs are not right coded to turn off 100%. So if it will be a 100% hardware issue, why can the LEDs fully turn off on 100% brightness?

Compared my 12 PM with an iPhone 8+ and the blacks look better in every way but the LEDs still do not fully turn off until you raise the brightness to 90% or more.
I agree with you 100%. The way I tested for raised black glow in the dark:) was that I had that black YouTube video on in the bright room then, keeping the video and auto brightness turned on, walked into the completely dark closet. My phone was completely black while I was walking, then as I watched the brightness bar goes down on the control center, at the last 5-10% or so all the sudden something switches on and starts to give out that glowing screen. So, is this a hardware or software??

We dont know but the best is contact apple support about this and show them the picture.
The more people complain about this the higher the chance is that it will be fixed soon.

No problem.
Limeybastid can you also contact apple support for the OLED Not True Black problem even with a picture?
More and more people have to complain about this for a fix ...

Everyone should report about this here and send them this picture about the issue
I already did my part and advised them under feedback. Thanks.

You can test this video with 50% brightness in a 100% pitch black room.
Wait for the eyes before you start the test. They have to get used to the darkness first.

You will see it is not 100% fully black. But if you turn brightness to 100% it is fully black.

Yes that’s similar to the 10 hour amoled pitch black video posted earlier. Either one shows the issue nicely.
What are your plans ? As much as I like the iPhone 12PM , I feel that it’s not currently working out for me and I’ll probably be returning it for a refund before my 14 days expire.
There’s one thing I’ve learned about mobile devices over the years , is to never rely on a possible update to resolve an existing issue in the future.

I will keep mine because I got it for only 1000€ and I can sell it one year later for about 800€ because I care really good about my devices. My iPhone 8+ looks like a new device after 2 years.

I would keep the phone if you have a good screen uniformity. If the uniformity is also bad I would give it back.

Wrote with apple support and they said the know the problem and will fix them.
Showed them also the green tint on 0% brightness. He was shocked.
He said they will show this to the engineers and they working on a fix.

Look at your screen.

Night shift is enabled from 22-8!!!!
Disable and enjoy your white screen!!
