Just picked up a 12 pro from Apple and zero raised blacks, no piss yellow( w/TT Off ) or green tint!! With TT On, it’s def. warm but not anywhere as bad as my pre-order PMs!

My first two PMs had the raised blacks issue and crappy yellow screens, and the third one was near perfect ( except with TT On! )

It ain't fixed for everyone, had my 12 pro max since launch day and green tint is still visible.
This was for those members on this thread, who said that green tint has been completely fixed for them.
Like I have shown this in above post, I am only able to replicate green tint in YouTube app, else it has been fixed for me.
That's the reason, I want other members to check in this scenario and confirm about the issue.

Great, I don't want to jinx or anything. But do check it later after few days, many people on reddit and here on macrumors has said initially that they had no issues, and later they were able to replicate the issue.
Same was for the people who got the screen replacement done for the this issue, and later they found it that even the new replaced screen is suffering from all variety of issue.

Green tint and raised blacks have been completely fixed for me, on my 12 Pro Max with 14.5.1!
When I first got my device, I had zero issues.
Then, after installing an update, I started having both these issues, until 14.5.1.

I immediately noticed the fix during the first night I installed the update, but I couldn't believe in my own eyes. I wanted to do more tests.
Now that I've used my device at night for many days in a row, I can confirm this 100%.
I also have an 11 Pro Max side by side for comparisons.
I definitely know how to reproduce the issue, as I've done it effectively, hundreds of times.

I understand why many people might not believe it, as it doesn't make sense why it would only be fixed for some people and not for all of us, but I wanted to say this, so that people don't start losing hope, like I did.

Doubt it’s gone, swipe through some photos in a pitch black room at really low brightness, you’ll see the black borders turn green and then black again.

I see this green line always but only if I open the YouTube application on my iPhone 12 pro and start a dark video, and increase or decrease the volume .. when the volume bar appears this green line appears that I hate .. more increase the brightness and more you can see .. for the rest I have no problem with green tint but only the classic yellow calibration of this year's iPhones that we all have .. if I open YouTube from safari the problem is not there because the volume bar has a different graphical interface .. I don't understand if it's a bug on all iPhones because it's a YouTube bug or just mine.

Can you replicate this?

I will check for both these things when it's night where I live (I am in Greece) and I will get back to both of you.

For now, I have checked Photos (but not while swiping, just checked the borders, so not sure about swiping).
The borders while not swiping, are total black.

I have also checked while booting, previously it flashed green for a second, now it doesn't.

Also, on YouTube app, I have checked one of those total black videos and now the blacks remain black (but not sure about the volume bar, will do that later).
Netflix is the same, everything remains black now.

Lastly, I don't see green anymore while I am on sharing mode (for example on Messenger, the sharing screen used to be really green).

It’s definitely still there for a lot of people, make sure your phone is on 30% brightness or lower, can see green tint in just about every photo when swiping through photos in landscape mode on my 12 Pro Max.

Also black boot up screens on games are showing green tint as well. 🥺

You can try to set the black/ grey ”wave” wallpaper available in settings. For me it was more greenish then grey. Green tint was visible when this wallpaper was set.

I checked again last night and there is definitely no green while swipping through photos.
Everything is total black.

The only thing I notice is the problem with the volume bar on the YouTube app.

The greys used to be ridiculously green, they now appear as grey as possible, taking into account that when the grey backround is "mixed" with the yellow screens these new devices have, it will probably look slightly greener compared to older devices.
Similarly, like the whites look yellower.
If you mix grey and yellow in color theory, it gives you a green-olive result.
So this is normal and will probably not change, unless they eliminate the yellow tint of the screens...

But I now most definitely have oled blacks, at least...

Is anyone else noticing grey and dark grey colors look a proper grey color on 14.5.1, instead of yellow/green when the 12 series launched.

Or am I seeing things. 🤔😂

All we need now is for apple to fix this green tint garbage. 🤦‍♂️

More than the colour, I am concerned about the glow at the top(which we can see while increasing or decreasing the volume in YouTube app).
Now, that you were able to notice this issue. I am very much certain that it's not completely fixed for anyone.
Whomsoever, claimed that it's fixed for them are not able to replicate the issue.

have noticed red ghosting effect when scroll with true-black and greys in settings (brightness over 70%).
Become quite evident after 14.5.

Anyone else notice this?

Im not having any greentint issue but I had raised blacks and its now fixed. Maybe green tint is just bad quality amoled thing and cant be fixed via any update. If they do then units without this issue will go worse somehow?

I bet all units had raised blacks. Some people just didnt see it or care.

My raised blacks were fixed in 14.5.1, I fortunately never had the green tint issue.

Try this:

I have the grey bar too….no green.

A green or red push in greys is not unusual on oled screens due to the lithography process.

I went through quite a few mini‘s to get an even screen, it’s a lottery.

So, the hint of green on that bar, while changing the volume will be considered as norma?
