Green tint still there on beta 3. 🥺
Your green tint issue is something like down below or you just notice in app specific like in photos and YouTube volume bar etc?

So, the hint of green on that bar, while changing the volume will be considered as norma?
It depends how much time and effort you want to put into looping devices to get one without colour push. It’s the nature of the manufacturing process and where the screen lands in the wafer. Im used to doing it, I went through 5 Z Fold 2’s to get an even screen without colour cast.

Nothing like that 😳 I'd be taking that phone back asap, notice mine in photos on low brightness, and games on black loading screens, green tint will pop up for a few seconds and then go away.

Hopefully apple gets their **** together, or hopefully someone hits them with a lawsuit, for the prices we pay this isn't acceptable, they should really start making their own oled panels, the scum samsung can't be trusted.

Unfortunately Apple don’t make anything, they design and outsource mainly. Most oled panels have this issue to a greater or lesser extent. It is not an issue exclusive to Samsung. Micro led will remedy this issue when commercially available on mobile devices.

I wonder if this purple one will have the raised black. Really every iPhone 12 I’ve seen has a raised black. Mine mini bought one a first day, my friends’ minis, pro bought in December, March, all of them .
My purple one doesn't seem to have it.

2 people are saying green tint is finally gone on iOS 14.7 beta 1.

can anyone confirm if it’s really gone?

HELLO 👀 anyone on iOS 14.7 beta 1 can you confirm green tint has been fixed. 📱

Really? can anyone confirm this?
Still happening on 14.7 stuff this ****, I’m giving them till august to fix this crap or I’m getting a free replacement, I won’t be leaving the store until I know 100% the replacement device doesn’t have green **** 🤬🤬🤬🤬

so guys any news? 14.6 RC 2?
Still there by the sounds of it, not sure what to do, apple said it’s a software issue, spoke with a apple store, said they‘re more than happy to take a look at my phone, don’t want to go through all the headaches of swapping phones if it’s a software issue, guess I’ll wait a couple of more month. 🤔

Found a way to recreat this issue on my 11 pro.

Turn on sleep mode from your control centre, lock the phone and wake it back up. Once it’s back up you see the same issues described in here. It almost seems like a greenish wallpaper lays on top of whatever is displayed. Dont have this issue anywhere else. Once you exit sleep mode it returns to normal with no raised blacks, at least on my 11 pro.

Can anybody recreat this?

R

Raised blacks was fixed a while ago.
Not on my Mini. With 14.6 I can even see it on normal brightness with black wallpaper from Apple. On lock screen with black wallpaper time seems like it glows, just like the new iPad Pro Mini LED. Not that bad but similar and a light glow.

I feel like it was better one time and now it's back or worse again, but maybe it was never better or away at all.

I more and more believe this is a hardware issue.

What has gotten WAY better since 14.5, but I feel in favor of battery life, is auto brightness. Much better and higher brightness, rarely need to adjust it and turn it up. But I also feel battery life has been worse than before 14.5.

Yes. Another way is when you start to share a photo through Signal. The share screen slides up (choose recipient), don’t send the photo but slide the UI down and behind it you will see a very green background.

I have raised blacks but when watching videos, the pixels will glow but on a static image it's oled blackm I'm thinking this is software because it would be off no matter what.

Could be software, then on the other hand how come other people aren’t affected by it, hmmm 🤔😂 strange one. 🤔

Yeah, there is many factors like updates and covid quality control, I think if Apple can't solve this they will have a recall because Apple makes there money of consumer satisfaction and this will destroy them.

How much do we bet that the iPhone 13 will have more quality control issues than the 12, we all no with adaptive display technology some phones will start at 5hz
