The thin design has been one of the key design aspects of the iPhone. Making it thicker and thicker will not win sales. The competition already looks better in this department and making an even thicker iPhone and camera bump isn't going to change that.
What makes it worst in the iPhone is the bump then the protruding lenses on top or that, at least just make the hump flush with the cameras?

First off, not surprised that Jon Prosser was lying and making things up as he tends to do.

Secondly, I feel pretty sure I'm never going to buy a Pro phone ever again. Maybe that's a good and even intended thing. They have no desirability factor though. I want something handy that I can take with me at any time and not think about much. Even my iPhone 11 Pro is on the limits of being to much of a chonker.

Idk. Looks pretty centered to me…

This is good because I was just thinking today about how my iPhone 13 Pro Max isn’t nearly heavy or unwieldy enough as it is.

The increase in size and weight from the 11 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max is what made me finally switch to the smaller phone (13 Pro) and I don't regret it one bit. Knowing that it will be going even further with the 14 Pro's is disappointing.

The iPhone is the one product where I do think decreasing the weight and thickness is justified.

Sitting here pairing my Apple Watch to my new SE 2022, reading this rumor, lmao.

Nevertheless, I bet it’s going to be a good looking phone that will work great and sell well like pro iPhones always do. If I can tolerate the pwm, I will trade my 13 Pro in for one in the spring after all the colors are released and all the bugs are worked out of it.

Why do I seem to be the only one that is not bothered by this latest news. Personally think design works. I will probably be one of those in the queue to upgrade my 13 pro

The thing that would save this phone would be a titanium chassis instead of stainless steel. That should save some weight then.

Agreed. The base model that uses aluminium is pretty light compared to the Pro.

I wonder sometimes if PWM actually does bother me a bit. I've been a phone enthusiast since the original Motorola Droid was released, and used just about every flagship from every major OEM. We now have some of the best OLED panels in the world between the 13 line and the S22 line. And yet, no matter what, every time I go back to a LCD panel, it feels easier on my eyes. OLED doesn't "bother" me or give me headaches, but LCD always feels easier on my eyes... it's gotta be that, I guess?

It’s probably pwm. It doesn’t have to be as severe as mine to be felt in some way. Even I don’t suffer with symptoms from all OLED displays. My S22 Ultra and Pixel 6 Pro displays do nothing to trigger migraines or eye strain that I’ve noticed. In fact, my myopia seems improved when I used OLED displays. As in, if I take my glasses off my vision seems a bit stronger than is usual after using an LCD display.

And I was able to use my 12 Pro Max display with no ill effects. Unfortunately my 13 Pro display gave me such a bad reaction I became sensitive to OLED displays that normally don’t bother me.

I’ve had some LCD displays bother me in the past. When it comes to displays, I evaluate them on an individual basis and keep myself open to all possibilities

I moved onto the 13 Mini because these phones are getting too heavy. Yes, I know battery life is super important. But it's getting ridiculous IMO. So happy with the Mini.

I find the mini charges so fast, that it doesn't really matter as long as you have access to a charger at some point during the day. Even for heavy users. You can juice that bad boy up quick!
