Not a deal breaker by itself, but adding to the other negatives, it does make a difference. Is 0.4mm thicker on the Pro really a deal breaker?
Really? Those kinds of gravity distortions typically only happen in the vicinity of my bathroom scale! This just in, gravity is going to be 10% stronger next week than it was previously, eliminating any weight savings. We call it the Reality Distortion Field… and we think you’re gonna love it.
8 Plus:Ok MR now compare to the 8 plus so I know I’m making the right decision to upgrade! So long home button 😢
really? 0.4mm? you can feel that? or see that? Not a deal breaker by itself, but adding to the other negatives, it does make a difference.
take a 1lbs pasta box and lift it up 10 times in the morning and 10 times in the evening - that gotta do itTell me you're a gym bro without telling me you're a gym bro
Literally? If you start putting 200g feathers on a bird, it's gonna have a word with you rather quickly.Delightful news.
It’s gonna be weird carrying a Pro Max around that is literally light as a feather. Good weird.
I’m definitely 💯 upgrading now.
I think they care about the environment only when it intersects with their financial interests, so yes, ultimately it is about the money. Using renewable energy to power their server farms, etc. makes good business sense given that energy costs are only headed in one direction. I applaud their use of renewables, but I don't for a minute believe it's about the environment.
thicker is the right direction? posa il fiasco!Right direction, but not good enough for me as an owner of an iPhone Mini (135 grams).
How did MacRumors independently confirm an unreleased iPhone feature?
The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have thinner bezels due to the use of advanced display technology known as LIPO, an acronym for "low-injection pressure over-molding". First mentioned by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, and since independently confirmed by MacRumors, the use of LIPO technology for iPhone 15 Pro displays is expected to reduce the bezel size from the current 2.2mm to approximately 1.55mm.
The iPhone 6 felt appreciably thinner in hand than the iPhone 5, and that was only a 0.3 mm difference. Fingers are quite good at differentiating sub-millimeter differences. Coins are another case where you can tell which coin you hold by their difference in thickness, if you use coins often.really? 0.4mm? you can feel that? or see that?
I doubt if you can tell the difference between one iPhone and another that's 0.4 mm thicker by look or feel. And what other negatives are you referring to? The Pro and Pro Max will reportedly have a faster processor, longer battery life, significantly quicker data transfer, a faster 5G modem, Qi2 charging, and camera improvements. (I'm reserving judgment on the action button until I see how it works.) Maybe these aren't enough for you to upgrade, but they're hardly negatives. Not a deal breaker by itself, but adding to the other negatives, it does make a difference.
Agree. For a company that claims to care so much about the environment, it makes no sense the way Apple tweaks the size of every new model so that all previous cases and many accessories get dumped in the trash when the user upgrades.
If they confirmed their source they wouldn't be a source for very long. How did MacRumors independently confirm an unreleased iPhone feature?
