I'll be upgrading, but it's less because I'm excited about the phone and more because the battery on my 12 mini is beginning to show its age. I am happy about the switch to USB-C, that'll be one less cable to carry with me. Everything else in my bag has made the transition. :)

All that's left is the AirPods. Hopefully the next version has USB-C charging.

With USB C, potentially Thunderbolt, a new process node after years on 5nm, new LIPO screens, the new periscope and potentially variable zoom camera, and titanium, this honestly sounded like supercycle to me

14 Pro was the underwhelming one with an overprocessed oversharp looking camera, I hope they fix that and let the larger lens look more natural without overprocessing
Thanks you for pointing it out, that overprocessed oversharp is CRAP. I doubt apple will fix it.

I am going to upgrade to the 14 Pro Max from the 12 Pro Max
brother, take my word; DON'T DO IT.
I did it, BIG MISTAKE. i miss my 12 pro max so much that im going to buy a refurbish one soon.
the camera on the 14PM line up SUCKS, BIG TIME.

Higher price coupled with on-going inflation will definitely lower demand. Not sure what Apple's thinking here.
They’re thinking in an economic vlinate where they’re selling less they need to make the same money, standard supply and demand

While I always question these reports, one thing to keep in mind is that US carriers (at least AT&T) who subsidized the iPhone 13, spread out the billing credits across 3 years, instead of 2. For example, I pay a very small amount per month for my 256GB iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I'd have to fork out $400 to pay off the balance of my phone if I want to upgrade. Unless there is a must-have feature, personally - I'm content with my current device for another year.
vERY GOOD POINT, I ALSO HAVE NOTICED THAT ON AT&T, AND BECAUSE OF IT IM PLANNING ON NOT CONTINUING THAT, I PREFFER TO BUY THE PHONE UP FRONT.

Regardless, I'm upgrading and you should too!

The keyword is "Predicted".

I think they will sell like hotcakes. Demand will be very high! If you miss out on the Pre-Ordering time. Expect delays for months.
Delay for months doesn’t imply high sales. With rumors of shortages, it could just imply that overall stock is low.

Yeah from iphone 13 mini to the pro.
Mini after 2 years have really bad batteries and its bot really that small, better go with large screen than this weird between

I'm selling my 14 Pro for $990 on Ebay hopefully someone buy it by September so I can join the iUP and get the regular 15 this was my first time getting a pro model and I don't see a difference. For those who are in the iUP do you have to pay out of pocket if you crack the phone front or back or is it covered under the Apple care? Do you have to pay out of pocket for battery replacement if its under 80% or is it covered?

Nope & not sure why anyone with a 11 or newer series would need to unless there's some very specific use case or specific need. iPhones are so powerful they stay relevant and responsive for many years. Starting with iPhone 5, I only upgrade every 4 years. The cameras have been phenomenal for over a decade. I can't justify the $800-$1300 spend for a slightly smaller bezel and a bit more realistic bokeh behind pics of my cat. There's just no value prop. There are so many better ways to spend disposable income. (like invest in AAPL ironically)
Connectivity. My 14 Pro Max was excellent in that respect. Because I've struggled with the display triggering migraines, I got a refurbished 12 Pro Max whose display my nervous system is compatible with. And as a bonus it is actually taking nicer photos than my 14 Pro Max, and in many other respects is on par with my 14 Pro Max, but it is not as good as my 14 Pro Max at call quality and overall connectivity.

I still have my 14 Pro Max. I would have loved to be able to keep using it another year, but I physically couldn't. Unless someone else in my family needs it, I'll probably trade it in for a 15 Pro Max. But I'll still have my 12 Pro Max on hand if I still can't use the new phone display.

I do also miss the Dynamic Island. 😆 Yeah I actually liked that gimmick.

Actually regret upgrading from the 13 mini to the 14 Pro. I mean I really enjoy the ProMotion Display, but the small form factor of the mini is worth so much more and for anything else I can use my iPad or MacBook. You never felt the 13 mini in the pocket of your jeans and I could easily get through one day with the battery.

I'm upgrading because of the 3nm. It's going to be faster and more efficient. My 14 Pro's battery is at 89% and it's because it overheats.
