Mine delivers to my work next Friday. I got a little worried for a minute. As I was checking out on the Apple Store app it lost my preorder info from a few days ago and I had to start from scratch, but it went through fine.
This was me. Got my order placed and done by 8:07, but my partner was still getting the coming soon screen after 45 minutes. Did it on desktop instead and went through right away.bad experience this year. Even w two preorders. One account made it by 10 mins. Other took 32 minutes of brute forcing App Store.

Dang, sorry to hear that. I honestly thought my internet connection was acting up again. I ran into issues still when trying to order the case and wallet afterwards where the product page did not load then the add to bag was grayed out.That’s the frustrating part. I had my wife and my phone each ordering our own phones and we weren’t LET IN until 5:15-5:20 or so. Then, the pre-order said it wasn’t available and crashed. Tried reconstructing the order and the site went down again. The clog started to clear by 5:28 and my preorder showed up and allowed me to buy with an October shipping estimate. Yes, I refreshed, reset the app, and tried other devices. Just amazing.
Not the end of the world but pretty embarrassing that your store can have pre-preorders, you can wake up at 5am, get an order in by 5:30 and still be 2 weeks delayed. Smh
Carriers won’t let you get the unlocked paid in full. They want you to sign up for a 2 or sometimes 3 year plan.Do people not order from their carriers?

Yep. You are at the mercy of UPS and the delivery requires a signature, at least it used to. Last year I got home from work late and found a Sorry We Missed You sticker on my door. It was a nightmare from there. It said they "might" try tomorrow but for best results go to the UPS delivery center to pick up delivery. So I went there and there were over 50 folks waiting for phones that had missed deliveries. They had two people working to check you in and then you had to wait for the driver who had your phone to get to the the delivery center from his normal route, check in and get the packages off his truck. Needless to say 90 minutes waiting AFTER the driver got back to the center. Never again.Not everyone is home for delivery, delivery times are all over the place with, at least in the US, UPS, or people are out and about during delivery times. . .
