Yeah, removing 3D touch is a mistake. I really hope they bring it back, I had those moments where I wished my 12 mini had 3D touch. Haptic touch is so slow compared to it.
It’s not just slow, it also gets triggered unintentionally. So many times I pick my phone from the pocket and find out the flashlight is on. It never happened when 3D Touch was a thing.

Agreed! So much usefulness. It felt different! Unique, exclusive and premium experience. Check out the video below.

Sure, just look at their iPhone yearly revenues; they barely have any customers left.
It’s not like customers will disappear overnight. But yeah, I’d you look at yearly revenues you’ll see that iPhone sales are indeed declining. That doesn’t mean they can’t recover in the future, but it will take action from apple: innovation, more appealing products etc. Basically the things it has not done for the past few years.

iPhone probably out in September leaking like a sieve. MBA 15 probably out soon hardly any leaks, strange how that works.
Not strange at all, Apple ships probably around 5 million or so MacBook airs a quarter…And around 80 million iPhones.
I know which one would be a harder secret for me to keep.
The lower volume the product, the easier it is to keep away from cameras and such.

Not going to lie. 100% agreed with this Tweet. Im not sure how I feel about Apple Removing the mute switch now.

idk, the thought of it just turning into a button means that:
A: it hopefully will be able to be controlled by more software, so you could automate when your phone is muted and such. Another reason never to use the switch.
B: since it’s just a button, theoretically you could reroute it to be whatever you want. Mute button? Sure. Camera opener? Why not. Orientation lock? Sure.
Personally, I’d love for it to be able to be turned into a button you could hold to dictate text, and then release when you’re finished.
The on screen controls are fine, but having an actual button like the Apple TV has would be better imo.

It seems a lot of people are switching to android for various reasons. Apple needs to start listening to their customer base or it might find itself without customers.
Anecdotally maybe, but the numbers do not back up what you’re saying here.
The numbers actually show the rest of the smartphone market is shrinking while Apple continues to grow year over year.
Same goes with Macs.
Obviously, Apple isn’t even close to having dominant marketshare in either phones or computers, but saying that more people are switching to Android more than the other way around is just false.

Is “ultra thin” an embellishment here? They are thinner than before, yes, but are they on par with the Samsung Galaxy S22?

What I see is a graph that isn't sourced from anyone
This is public information that you can search for yourself and find it in various places.
If it makes you feel any better I got the graph I posted here:

Apple gonna ruin the mute switch so they can bring it back as a feature like the Magic Keyboard 🥹

Let's be real here. Things that have not been done since Job's ideas made it out of research to become products. It does not seem like anyone is thinking inside Apple any more. Apple just does what Android, Microsoft, and Google do.
