No I’m saying there’s no option to have more than 2TB of iCloud storage. In the US there is 4TB
Yup we've gone so far when it comes to storage. The 6gb RAM on my 14 Pro Max is more than the 4gb storage on the original iPhone.
I remember the days when you could fit a bootable macOS plus an app on a 1.4 MB floppy disk and a computer with only 4 MB RAM. Of course, this was the early 90’s. I’m old.
I hope the price hike doest not apply to EU since we got a huge jump last year. Granted EUR has lost value last year but price hike covered more than the EUR/USD evolution.
Kinda odd that getting to the max iCloud requires this workaround. Actually, why is there a maximum on iCloud storage at all?
If you want to pay for more space, surely it should be in Apple's best interest to sell more.

My 14 Pro Max has only used 105GB out of 512GB. I haven’t used my iPhone as much as I would on account of my stressful and busy job. My hours are changing so I can use my phone more and take more pictures.
Maybe you don’t, but I need more than 128Gb.

Apple hasn't seen a huge drop in demand in Europe so until that happens I don't expect the price increases to stop/reverse. Apple has a 40-50% margin on its products for a reason.
So funny, I say the same thing every year and already thinking of justifications to upgrade. If it is really light (where I can feel tangibly) from my 14PM that may be the deciding factor! I don’t really need anything else and need to squeeze some more life out of all these lightening to usb c cables I have invested in.
Apps, photos and videos I take of my family. My kids always have some after school event going on that I like to record and take pictures of.
I bet we get 2 TB when we get 8k recording.
And it will cost an arm and a leg... You know what wouldn't? An SD card slot.

I have a bad feeling that Apple will charge $400 to go from 1tb to 2tb just like what they do right now for the Macs and iPad Pros.
The same stuff I was filling it up with when 32GB came out, and then when 64GB came out, and then when 128GB came out… you don’t expect 1TB to last forever, do you? I get the sense you probably aren’t still using a 32GB iPhone either.

One would think. I haven’t personally looked into it but from what I hear 4 TB is the max no matter how you slice it.
I think just like the Apple TV they kind of know they have to have cloud storage but they also really don’t want to get too far into it. Nothing fancy, just enough to be an accessory to the ecosystem.
