Aesthetically speaking, I hope the bottom part of the dynamic island will be level with the rest of the information at the top. Just like the notch was. It gave a one nice even line going across the top of the phone where the bottom at the top information like the clock etc, was level with the bottom of the notch.
Now the dynamic island is well below that line.

This is a natural evolution of the Tim Cook era. Everything is getting price-hiked, 3-year old features (such as 11 Pro triple camera) are still pro-locked.
Yes, the profits of Apple will continue to rise for a few more years... but it's not the magic of Steve Jobs' days anymore, when audiences applauded at the prices.

Ultra?? That's not nearly enough. Call it Uax or Multra or get out of town.

You know people are gonna want the iPhone Multra.

These arguments make no sense. You do realize the phones you owned before upgrading still have value, right? Or do you just toss them in the trash?
I still use my iPhone 6s, but
Then I guess you'll keep your X until they no longer service it with security upgrades ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I probably will. iPhone X is likely gonna get 2 more iOS releases before Apple calls it quits. Its not like the A11 is a snail.

While I'd like that to be true, I wouldn't count on that. For after all, iOS 16 dropped the iPhone 7, which was powered by the A10 and is the direct predecessor of the X. So if iOS 17 drops anything, the A11 is most likely going to be the next victim. It might survive another year, but I can't really see the X getting two more releases.

Silly to limit fast transfer speeds to the top model…
Why ? that makes no sense.....Why limit more horsepower to the higher spec car models. If they don't have extra features to give on higher spec models, what's the point of having them. Nobody will buy them, just have 1 iPhone model and call it a day.....this is the iPhone, take or leave it.

Yeah, I just can't use a device as big as the Max or Ultra as it's rumoured to be called next year. The smaller Pro is absolutely perfect. It's disappointing if this becomes the 'gimped' Pro version missing features of the larger phone, but still carries a very, very premium price. They should have parity with the obvious exception of battery size.
Yeah, I'll buy that. One year, I got the Pro Max because it had the better camera. Pictures were great, but having that big of a phone was not for me. Both the Pro and Pro Max should have all the exact features/specs aside from the screen size......otherwise call it "Pro" and "Really Pro" ?

An iPhone 15 “Ultra” iPhone should be very fast for the total “wireless” experience.

A 15 Pro Max would have a “faster USB-C port”…

Apple is going back to the 80s route, overpricing there products with little to no updates. Soon a iphone downunder will be 3,000 kanga dollars.

I hope when I come to update from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the iPhone 16 pro max. The Pro max gets a design Re haul, and Ross Young’s rumours about the camera going under the display holds.

It looks pretty much boring for the 15 pro max besides the periscope camera.

Trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars just isn’t enough eh.
I suppose that opinion is beautiful, but that’s just a market cap, not the amount of dollars in the bank. With Apple’s profits they keep making better iPhones, would be tough with razor thin margins.

Hey Tim Apple, you will never push me towards a iPhone Pro or Ultra, it’s more likely I would go to Android. Screw you for trying to get everyone to buy the most expensive iPhone. Maybe you should only release one model, just remove the option for the public to choose.

I for one want to buy the iPhone Centris 675AV SE that still includes a Home Button with TouchID and 512GB storage next year.

I'm not the only one?

There are literally dozens of us! Dozens!*

But, seriously though.. shut up and take my money.

*I'm making fun of myself here.. But I do have a non-small number of customers who will likely stop buying iPhones when there's no Home Button version available. Yes, this skews older, but a few are younger than me, in their 30s.. Most would gladly pay more for a Home Button iPhone with better features (better cameras, more storage, etc) Now, if Apple continues to make an SE but doesn't make a single phone that these customers want? The Performa/LC575-style product line really stops making any sense?
My mom loved the home button but she got very used to swiping very quickly once I upgraded her to the iPhone 13 mini. She does like the smaller size, prefers a lower weight.

Anyway people get used to new things eventually.

Yeah...maybe the Verge is right. Maybe iPhone updates should stop being annual and be every two years. It's getting harder and harder to justify buying new phones.
Most people don't buy phones annually, nor feel the need to do so to just to have the latest version.

People with a genuine need for new phones every year are iOS developers and photographers/cinematographers.

Why wonder? Just read their 10K and look at their financials. Their “much-reserved cash” is down to $48B, down over 50% from 2 years ago, while their long-term debt is about $100B.
With interest rates going up, Apple should get rid of its debt. The company needs no debt, why they bother with debt, I don't know. I mean, when money was free, sure, I guess, but it's not as if Apple -needs- a loan.

I hate them reserving performance features like this. Put the same amount of ram in all of them, just put faster ram in the pros. Same with the processors - put them all on A17, but put A17 pro in the pro phones. Make them so they all get the same amount of software support.
