Don't worry about CarPlay. I'm sure Apple will have a USB-C to USB-A proprietary adapter available for only $50.
I'm mainly worried that adapter won't work well. The cost isn't the huge concern, its the issues with connectivity I already have with Carplay on my wife's Subaru going to USB-C

If your 14 Pro has worse battery than your 11 Pro then your 14 Pro is probably defective. Return it to Apple.
Prolly he's taking a lot of photos in RAW? Then, the phone's battery life will indeed be abysmal even with everything iCloud / Siri-related disabled.

Really don't care whether my phone has 6gb or 8gb but I hope this means that 12gb (or even 16gb if we're dreaming) might be the standard for the M3 (A17X). That would be great news.

After the underwhelming iPhone 14, Apple may finally have gotten back on the saddle. I wasn’t planning on upgrading from the 13 pro, but it’s looking like I will.

Still enjoying my 13PM so not worth upgrading for now.
More RAM is good though better battery life would be better along with bigger standard storage.
The hardware isn't the issue but the iOS software is. Apple needs to slow down and focus on quality control with iOS, instead of trying to keep selling newer models to keep up with its profit margins.

Every Mac should have 16GB minimum, that whole 'memory is better managed on a Mac' that's always being used to justify Apple only offering base 8GB has also been rebutted dozens of times.

No, 8 GB is fine. If they had 16GB standard, they wouldn’t be able to charge $200 USD per 8 GB to upgrade.

And there are A > C cables. It's what I use now for Android Auto with my Z Flip 4.

Correct, however Apple doesn’t want to use the “standard” protocols, they want to use a proprietary protocol.

So it may or may not work. It may or may not pass analog audio. (My gripe with Lightning).

But hey, at least it will supposedly have a physical USB-C connector.

And of course the Apple 1 and Apple ][s were in kilobytes. Even the original Mac was 128k.
I have had a 1 bit CPU in my house for decades. When you write a 1 to it, the light goes on. When you write a 0, the light goes off.
More RAM is needed. Current RAM cannot handle 500 opened tabs properly.

Seriously, I think it has nothing to do with the need for more RAM. I suspect it has more to do with the fact, it costs the same to double it.

RE: More RAM in M series computers, it's one of the downfalls of putting the RAM on the CPU die. Yes, you get a great deal of performance from it. At the same time, there is only so much space. Some of the lower RAM CPUs were probably intended to have more RAM, but some of the memory was defective and had to be disabled.

In the end, I would love to see fast RAM on the CPU, and banks of slower RAM off chip. Sadly this would increase complexity and complexity is the CPU killer. Complexity is the little death.

Honestly I don't care what they do, I just want the battery life to be improved. My 14 Pro has a garbage battery life. I still miss my 11 Pro battery life, that blew away my X/12P/13P and definitely my 14P.
You honestly believe that this isn't just your issue? That a phone with a chip from 4 years ago and 200 mAh less capacity actually lasts longer?

There is an issue with your phone.

all these people with 500 tabs, sheesh! that's insane lol. Isn't it better to just use bookmarks since at least those are searchable...

When you search in the address bar it also searches tabs with some limitations, but it mostly gets the job done.

no idea really but pop up apps would be super welcome

like google maps. on android , if , while traveling, you swipe home ,you'll get a windowed maps, so that you can still see where to go

on ios it just leaves the app

What they should do is make it a live activity that you can move around the Home Screen like you can with YouTube videos.
