iPhone 15 'Ultra' Could Replace Pro Max Model Next Year

"Ultra" makes sense. It will finally put rest the idea and notion that so many here cling to, and refuse to acknowledge, is that word "Pro," in the context of iPhones and laptops, has absolutely nothing to do with them being targeted towards professionals. It's simply a convenient features and pricing tier.

Bring on that 7” even more bezel-less extra high def screen, chamfered titanium edges, periscope sporting camera, fast charging, 3nm silicon, bullet proof screen, block of glass sandwich glory with high definition bass subwoofers on either side of the new usb c port.

Just because new models are released every year doesn't mean people have to buy them every year whether it be phones, cars, motorcycles or whatever. Not everyone is on the same buying cycle but manufacturers try to keep their products as current/competitive as possible for when a consumer is ready to buy.

Samsung already has its Ultra and now Apple may be looking to go that naming route too.

84% for battery health too. For what I do, I just haven’t seen anything exciting enough to upgrade from the X. Not even the 14 has motivated me.

Personally I feel an ‘Ultra’ line would be great for a camera focussed model and slim down the camera bumps (and weight) of the Pro line

I feel like the plus is not needed (unless they are pricing it much lower than current prices). Not enough of a difference in price as it sits now especially with the weaker specs.
 
Add an extra button on the iPhone (like the AW Ultra) for the camera or some other customizable action!
 
Thank Samsung for their Ultra line. Apple use to be more creative with their own naming schemes.
 
Sounds like a strategy to increase the price. Move things up one stack - update the current 14 Pro Max with a new SOC, call it 15 Pro Max and sell it at the current $1099 price. And then "one more thing", the actual new model that was internally supposed to be the real 15 Pro Max is called 15 Pro Ultra now and its for only $1699.
 
Gonna be sticking with SEs for the foreseeable future, or at least as long as they come with LCD displays.

Apple is laying the high-end on a bit too thick these days. Also OLED makes my eyes bleed. So the choice is easy :)
