What a silly comment. I’m not an android users but I’m also not so ignorant to think they don’t hold any market share. As of November 2024, over 3 billion people use android, which is about 70% of the global mobile operating system market. So ya, people use android.
Absolutely android has the market share. But at the price point of apples iPhones. Apple rules.
Agreed. Love Apple but its super fan user base is toxic.
The critics are also toxic.
They hate competition, complain about other companies copying Apple and it’s “never been the same since Steve left”. The culture feels like a bunch of toddlers.
The critics post generalized, unsubstantiated nonsense.

Not multicore, but single core which is very important. Android flagships generally have always had slightly better multicore performance because they usually have 8 cores, compared to the iPhones 6 cores. But now they are about on Par in terms of single core scores. This is actually a good thing, competition is always good for consumers.

20% behind the iPhone 16’s single core performance isn’t about on par.

And their tablet processors are 35% percent behind the iPad’s M4.

You said to that Apple treated the AVP as a very important product. My response was that if the AVP is a very important product to Apple then why is it already out of production.
Anything I say is an opinion, but Apple has a history of releasing successful products - as well as duds.

Even their duds make the competition look bad. The G4 Cube was a dud. It’s still a legend. The 20th Anniversary Mac was a dud. It’s still a legend.

The competition just does cheap to make up sales. Even when they sell a lot of hardware nobody remembers the crap.

Probably due to rubbish software on iPhone.

But funny to read the comments here above.
For almost 2 decades we had those tests with iPhone winning and although not by much, people were praising Apple and screaming about how great iPhone was. Now suddenly the speed is not relevant anymore and there are too many variables on those tests.

Apple really brainwashed the masses.

I was the biggest Apple fan on the planet but at some stage in front of so much lack of quality control and an ecosystem where not a single thing works smoothly as marketed and designed, one must wake up and admit that Apple’s golden days are far behind us.

Interesting is to chceck times phones achieved in previous tests:
Phone second/first round

Galaxy S25 Ultra 00:49/02:19
iPhone 16 Pro Max 00:49/02:33
iPhone 16 Pro Max 00:48/02:13
Galaxy S24 Ultra 00:50/02:13

Galaxy S24 Ultra 00:49/02:08
iPhone 15 Pro Max 00:47/02:08
iPhone 15 Pro Max 00:44/01:58
Galaxy S23 Ultra 00:49/02:00

Galaxy S23 Ultra 00:48/01:54
iPhone 14 Pro Max 00:46/01:56
Iphone 14 pro Max 00:53/01:57
Z fold 4 00:48/01:59

Galaxy S22 Ultra 00:50/02:24
iPhone 13 Pro Max 00:50/02:23
Google Pixel 6 Pro 00:51/02:04
iPhone 13 Pro Max 00:50/02:00

iPhone 13 Pro Max 00:48/01:51
Galaxy S21 Ultra 00:50/01:59

Galaxy S21 Ultra 00:46/01:55
iPhone 12 Pro Max 00:43/01:47
iPhone 12 Pro 00:42/01:41
Galaxy Note 20 Ult 00:46/01:55

Note 20 Ultra 00:46/01:55
iPhone 11 Pro Max 01:00/01:53
Galaxy S20 Ultra 00:36/01:49
iPhone 11 Pro Max 00:50/01:44

And one antient
Galaxy S10+ 00:31/01:55
iPhone XS Max 00:41/01:50

Phones results varies quite a lot sometimes. Especially last iPhone test was 20 second slower in first round then few months ago. iOS 18.3 vs 18. Apple Inteligence?

If someone want to take challenge, can add OS releases for each test

Part of the problem is Apple's instance on using slow animations everywhere. It might not actually be slower, just that it looks slower because the animations play for longer.

Would be nice if they could make this user adjustable, just as in Android.

20% behind the iPhone 16’s single core performance isn’t about on par.
It’s 5% behind on single core an 18% ahead on multicore and even 40% ahead in NPU compared to the A18 pro.

Android is fully multitasking and multicore scores are more important over there than iOS which isn’t multitasking.

Together with a better WiFi modem chip and better screen, it’s quite an accomplishment.

It’s wild that “New phone is faster than old phone” seems to be controversial for some people. Will there be similar reactions when the iPhone 17 Pro beats the S25 Ultra?

How have you got to this conclusion? What tests?
Look at their previous tests shown in the video, where they start of course from full battery. If you are doing this kind of tests, you need to make sure that the devices are fully charged, all apps closed and removed from memory and no background processing running. So, the battery percentage implies that the test was run previously many times, why they don't show that part?

Look at apples record breaking quarter. I’m presuming people who pay a lot of money for stuff know rubbish when they see it.

Good for Apple. Nothing better than brainwashed customers to just hand over their wallets. Right?

Sure vote with your $$$. If enough people do that apple will see the light.

It would be interesting to know if Apple AI was turned on or off. I didn’t watch the full video. But I’m not sure how I feel about my phone outputting video 6 seconds later than a Galaxy.

I am of the opinion iOS is getting bloated. I would like to see some optimizations. I am no longer in upgrading my Apple products as often as I once did.

So, unless I'm missing something, Samsung S25 beat iPhone
- on an overclocked phone
- with a substantially improved cooling system
- utilizing an extra 4GB of RAM.

I mean...if they require that to beat an iPhone, not sure that's 'impressive.' Remove the overclocking and the 4GB and let's see how it does. :p
Then what's the point of Apple's premium price? Less specs and performance?

The mistake you're making is assuming shoppers make a purchasing decision on specs and performance. The fact of the matter is that the majority of iPhone customers are not cross-shopping with android devices. They set out to buy a high-end iPhone, not a high-end smartphone.

The delay is probably all the security checks they do for apps so they don’t maliciously send all my pictures to random contacts, and other “androidy” things.

And people go for it. Last quarter apples’ revenue was $124.3B for less specs and performance.

There must be something in the air, food and water to make people alter their purchasing habits like that.
I understand it is a preference thing like colour choice, but can you see how people label them as "sheep".
