I guess, although Caudabe publicly stating they shipped (and continue to ship) buttons that are too small and therefore rattle excessively, and are having updated buttons manufactured, kind of speaks for itself

But they are not proactively sending them out to anyone. You have to lodge a complaint and get put on the list.

I'm not sure I'll receive my Sheath before the rapture so I can't speak first-hand, only information that's gather able on the Internet!
I’ll patiently wait for my sheath. Nothing new under the sun. I knew what I signed up for when I ordered.

Does it protect the edges? I saw reviews telling doesn’t protect edges
Reviews are whatever you want them to be.

Yes you can see the metal edges but it got some lip to protect your device face down.

Reviewers think every tom dick and harry abuse their devices.

Use it normally and you will be fine.

Hi all.
Is it just me or most of the recent cases have a very shallow screen “lip”? I had a few cases with my old 14 Pro and all of them had very prominent lip around the screen, Otterbox, Spigen, Torras. Is it intentional or some kind of manufacturing error? :))
For now I have an Otterbox Symmetry on my 17PM but it’s very cheaply made and slippery…

Any suggestions on “lippy”, grippy and minimalistic case? Thanks

Fresh haul of junk in.

Wish screen lip was a little better.

The plan was to limit myself to five cases this year. These are the initial five in descending order:
  • Arc Pulse - People either love it or hate it. I love it. At 17 grams, with full access to the sides, back, and bottom of the phone, it’s as close to naked as you can get while still having good drop protection (10 feet on flat surfaces). On uneven surfaces, all bets are off.
  • Apple Frost - Surprisingly good. It’s not much like Apple’s previous clear cases. Softer and more comfortable in the hand, with better buttons. Very light at 21 grams.
  • Beats - Not bad. Great fit, good looks, very comfortable, but slippery as heck if you have dry hands. At 32 grams it could be lighter.
  • Andar Aspen - A beauty, but at 37 grams arguably too heavy for this phone.
  • Pitaka Ultra-Slim - I was hopeful for this one, but it has a major design flaw: the metal camera surround sits directly on the glass back. Not sure what they were thinking. A return has been initiated.
I’m sniffing around for something to replace the Pitaka. I’m open to suggestions if anyone has a favorite for the Air. Thinking perhaps the new Spigen Urban Fit T once it’s available on Amazon.

Some excellent choices.

I had the Apple Frost and returned it because I just found it too slippery. Weight and buttons were great, though. Still have the Beats case, but am on the fence about keeping it as it too is very slippery at times.

I have a Spigen Thinfit waiting for pickup at Best Buy. At ~34 grams, it's about as heavy as I want to go with the Air. Hoping it's no more bulky than the Beats but with better grip. I also have a Benks Montage ArmorPro scheduled to arrive tomorrow. That is supposedly around 33 grams. I'd much rather be in the ~20g range with something like the Pitaka, but will probably pass for now with the concern about the metal camera guard / camera bump issue, especially since there's 2+ weeks of lead-time if shipped direct and Amazon is just as bad with stock all over the place. Have been eyeing the Totallee Scarf as that looks very thin and light, but I think the protection would likely be worse than an aramid case. Also, almost $40 is a bit steep, but they are having a 30% off flash sale at the moment, so I still may take a chance and order one.

Still intrigued by the Dbrand Tank, but haven't been able to find an answer on the weight. If less than 50g (big If, I know) I might be able to justify it as a heavy duty protective case that would only get occasional use on trips, etc.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also thought the Urban Fit T looked nice, but would rather a different color. Then, I looked up the weight on Spigen's website and saw it was about 46g. Too heavy, IMO, for an aramid based case, but I guess it's essentially a dressed up Enzo since they didn't make one for the Air?

I ordered nomad traditional leather. I have the Ryan London. Beauty case but also feel it may be too much weight wise. Probably similar to the andar. I like the apple case but hate smudges and finger prints. I see a lot of people also like the thinborne

When did you place your order?
The initial order was place on October 10 for the synthesis but updated on October 15 to the sheath precise celestial blue. Yesterday they added the buttons to the order. Apparently they have a warehouse in Toronto so maybe that’s why they can ship certain items fast. I’m sure it probably just the buttons.

So how are we suppose to get on this list? They don't respond to emails, and I don't have a reddit or social media account. I had sent an email weeks ago to cancel my order, and never did receive a response.
