Then get a Pro next time around, problem solved.
Nah it's fine with my Bellroy, all I need anyway. Wouldn't even use a heavy sheath.
When you pick up 2 x pro max's at half retail can't complain😉
After selling the old phones cost the price of a case each.

Yessir, the all new dynamic ant hill coming to you. Man i really want a bluebonnet case more order are terrible with shipping. Can’t use the rebel till i get this benks screen protector off

What’s up folks, been a long time!

Just wanted to put out there, I have always been a screen protector guy but this year my wife got the air and I got the 17 pro, but she doesn’t like to use a screen protector, and when I saw her screen it looked so much crisper and vibrant. Then I ended up getting the Symmetry and it was pushing up the corners so I peeled it off. Been rocking zero screen protector for the past 3 months I’d say and I have ZERO scratches. This glass they use is wild. I’d recommend checking out your naked screen next time you’re changing screen protectors and you might never go back!

Just watch out for sand. A friend took his brand new 16PM (without a screen protector) on a float trip in the Grand Canyon, camping on the sandy shore each night for a week. His screen was toast at the end of the week.

I’ve never liked screen protectors personally. Never used them on any iPhone I’ve owned and I’ve had iPhones since the 3G lol. Enjoy and interact with your screen the way it was intended 😉

Yeah I’ve been looking since they started popping up here. I’ma little sad that none of them look good with the blue pro.
I love the Milky Way Galaxy on the Deep Blue. Amazing pairing imo!

Hi all, long-time lurker but I felt this would be relevant to share. Saw the Pitaka Sunset cases on here, really liked the design so I ordered one. My copy has a slight slant to the pattern which is most noticeable near the camera ring. I emailed Pitaka about it and their initial response boiled down to, "This is expected as the natural pull during the weaving process can cause subtle slanting in the weave."

After a bit of pushback I was able to get an exchange set up, but man. My last Pitaka case for the 16PM definitely didn't have a slanted weave. Folks who have more experience with Pitaka cases, is this normal or am I just getting gaslit by customer service?

With the Beats Rugged, if I insert the phone one side first it is off a tiny amount, but then if I take the phone out and insert the opposite side first, the alignment is perfect. I’ve noticed this with a fair number of other cases too. Might be worth a try if you haven’t already.
So you mean you insert it (e.g.) volume buttons first, then take it out and insert power button first and that fixes it?

I would go over the horizon colour with blue iPhone.

Guessing no lip on theses cases if using a GSP?
Not a huge fan of the Over the Horizon design, I thought I would like it but personally I wasn’t a fan of the big blotch of black on the bottom and the transitions of colors that are supposed to look like mountains just look meh to me. It does work well with Deep Blue though for sure.

Definitely no lip with GSP. Barely a lip without one. Not sure if it deserves to even be called a lip lol.

Nothing wrong with expecting a case that expensive to look like the advertised pictures.

I like a few of the Pitaka designs like this where the color lines are horizontally straight across the back. Any little deviation from that would drive me crazy, so I get where you're coming from. You're not expecting too much from them.

I also get what they're saying, but that's where rejects come in. If a case has warped lines like the one in your post, it gets rejected and either recycled or posted at a discount. But that should never be sold for full price.

You did the right thing to push back. Some of these companies talk about “precision” and “perfection” in their marketing, yet they ship imprecise and imperfect products then gaslight the customer in an attempt to avoid a return. It’s not OK.

This is by no means unique to Pitaka (looking at you Caudabe)…

Crap, I just ordered one of these 🙁 My luck, I'll probably get the same defective crap.
Are they shipping you a new one from China? Do you have to send this one back?

Going over all of my cases here.. The cases that arrived with no QC issues whatsoever: dbrand Tank and Grip, Nomad rugged, PR Air, Caudabe Sheath, the Beats regular (and two of the Mous Limitless 😂).

Might also consider trying the Tineeowl DuneX. Really excellent case for the price. I’d order another color if I didn’t have to import it from the states via Amazon.com.
How’s the top above the plateau? I’m guessing it’s fairly floppy?

I thought I’d give the TechWoven a go for a couple of days since it’s been collecting dust for a bit. While I like the hand feel, form factor, buttons, and lack of fingerprints, this case provides only slightly more than scratch protection. Just the slightest pressure on either of the upper corners above the plateau easily pushes the case off the phone. Face down drops, particularly on one of these corners, would not end well. Nice case otherwise.

The Spigen Urban Fit is next. Right off the bat it has a much more secure fit on the phone. It’s also grippier.
