I had a 1.1.4 Ziphone, and I did a restore to original 1.1.4.

Now, when I Shift + Click and select the ipsw file, after it "Extracts" the software, I get an error code 5.

Is anyone else getting this error? :(:(:(:mad:

I am stuck on the "Connect to iTunes" screen.

Did you originally unlock your iPhone with Ziphone?

Yes. Is it barfing due to the hacked baseband? Will taking it back to a stock 1.1.4 in DFU mode fix it, so it can be updated again?

Been a while since I last did any iPhone hacking!

The Forbes article has it wrong. They say the App Store is opening at Noon. How can that be since all of us who update iTunes to 7.7 this morning have been downloading apps all morning long????

I just want my iPhone to go to 2.0 so I can start using them. And no, I don't feel like updating the firmware by downloading the pkg. I'll wait until iTunes gives it to me. But I do have 10 apps just sitting in iTunes waiting... hee hee!!!!

Ppl who have installed 2.0: Does the ITunes restore back up your SMS Messages? I'm hesitating out of fear of losing my test messages.

Mobile Me in the system preferences is at least letting me log on now, but instead of dead ending me at the enter password etc screen it just gives me connection errors

hmmm, ok, it is back down again. But, I was able to navigate, log in and browse around my iDisk through the use of the interface. I went back to mail and the connection was cut. But I was on...

Has anyone else had trouble restoring from their backup after installing 2.0? I got the iPhone "iPhone" error message a number of times b4 restarting iTunes and being able to force the install, but now I can't seem to find my backup of notes, contacts, or txt msgs. I even re-synced with my contacts on my computer and I'm still missing things. Plus, my backups are all from this morning's 2.0 install which shouldn't be the case..HELP!!?? lol
