cant install apps

earlier on i was browsing the app store and bought super mokey ball, just ran the 2.0 updater, now its telling me "The application "Monkey Ball" was not installed on the iphone because you are not authorized for it on this computer

any ideas?

thanks

hmmm, ok, it is back down again. But, I was able to navigate, log in and browse around my iDisk through the use of the interface. I went back to mail and the connection was cut. But I was on...

I believe you. That's the last piece of my Apple puzzle for the day.

iTunes 7.7 - check
MobileMe Updater - check
iPhone 2.0 - check
MobileMe push/synch/cloud - no check.

no, iSlicer has no idea what s/he's talking about. Just because you don't get a 404 doesn't mean the site is working.

Thats right... Insult me now... That will work. I don't need to lie to get some form of gratification. I was excited that I was able to log in and navigate the interface. I was sharing it with you guys so that you could also take a look. I don't really care if you believe me or not, there is always so much doubt on this site (hence the name Mac"Rumors"), but I don't need to be insulted.

Wait, I thought apps couldn't do the whole "notification-by-badge-on-icon" yet. Does this maybe mean that the service for this is ready and that AIM and other things will have access to it?

I think I'll just wait for the official release, can't be far off...

I can tell you for sure that Aim does not use it.

I think you're right. I installed on mine and when i clicked on the "activate mobile me sync" button in iTunes, it took me to the following page:

http://www.apple.com/mobileme/setup...2.0&os=Mac&osVersion=10.5.4&iTunesVersion=7.7

where it said "requires software version 2.0 (available july 11)"

The issue is "what time on July 11"? After all, it is 4:07 am on July 11th in New Zealand right now. So "July 11" is a pretty vague date when looking at all of Apple's markets.

I would think that the update has to be available by the time most people in Asia can buy their iPhone -- that would mean it needs to be ready by the end of the business day in the U.S. or there is going to be big problems, right? (maybe)

k so i was downloading and it showed that it was downloading an ipsw file but when it put it in my downloads after completion it was just a folder. so i tried zipping it and renaming the .zip to .ipsw and it couldnt update, what do i do. i tried reading the previous posts but couldnt figure it out

Once apps are downloaded is there a way to only install selected ones like you can with music playlists?

Yes, in iTunes, click the Applications tab, choose Sync Applications, then Selected Applications, and choose which ones you want.

The Forbes article has it wrong. They say the App Store is opening at Noon. How can that be since all of us who update iTunes to 7.7 this morning have been downloading apps all morning long????

I just want my iPhone to go to 2.0 so I can start using them. And no, I don't feel like updating the firmware by downloading the pkg. I'll wait until iTunes gives it to me. But I do have 10 apps just sitting in iTunes waiting... hee hee!!!!

You have been downloading apps? I dont see appstore on my itunes 7.7 :-(

The update didn't take very long for me. I've got Facebook, Twitteriffic, AIM, NetNewsWire, Loopt, Weather Bug, Zenbe Lists, Mix Meister, Google, Currency, Remote, Box Office, Voice Notes, World 9, and iScopes. All free, and all awesome (though the Facebook app doesn't seem to want to connect).

WORD OF WARNING

I've got an O2 SIM (just a normal O2 SIM, not iPhone O2) that I've had on a contract for six months now. I've just applied the 2.0 firmware, and I was not given the option to activate. I just get a screen that says "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported", and now I can't use the phone.

I'm not sure my situation this is different to the other people who had normal O2 SIMs, but I wouldn't risk it, people.

No wait....before restore back 1.1.4...try to insert the original AT&T SIM card. Maybe you'll be able to activate the iPhone too (and then you'll be alble to use O2 too)....just try and let us know.

Search for any game, like "Tetris," in the search box. Then click the game Tetris (under "Applications"). At the top of your screen, next to the home button (the house), it will say "App Store." Click that.
