I don't know if anybody has said this already but I notice now that it just says "New Text Message" instead of just showing the persons name when you get a text message with "Show SMS Preview" off.
Edit: Okay, I see Crevice has said something about it.

GPS does not seem to work in 2.1 without either a data plan or an active Wi-Fi connection. I have no data plan, and my location was always pinpointed 90% of the time-- with no Wi-Fi-- prior to 2.1.

this is actually an excellent feature and there has been a hack on jailbroken phones to do just that. Many times you would have ur phone in the hand of a friend or laying around and u dont want someone to see who/what is the SMS if you suddenly receive one.

The option to turn on/off SMS Preview has always been there when the Passcode Lock is enabled. At least since 2.0, but I think before that even.
Yea thats what I was about to say, you've always had this option, even before 2.1
SMS Preview button has always been under the passcode section.
Think I've just found another one... Double tapping (the standard gesture for zooming) didn't used to work in the Mail application. The only way to zoom into content (eg. a HTML page inside an email) was to pinch outwards.

I don't know if this was posted.... But if you try to set date and time it will crash.. And return to home page
I had this problem too. You have to restore and set up as a new iPhone to get Date & Time back...I tried restoring and using a backup, but obviously the pref file is corrupted and is not recoverable.
Yep, I was playing with passcode lock the other week, and noticed the SMS preview option, so its been there a while.
Not an undocumented feature, but just wanted to let everyone know (who hasn't tested themselves) that the sms alert does go off, i think after 5 minutes. It uses whatever sound you have for texts, but the screen does not turn on again for the reminder alerts.
Note that there is no option to turn on or off the alert, or to change the amount of time for the reminder. presumably turning off sms alerts all together would also remove the reminder alert.
Now if we could just be able to put a normal ringtone for the initial alert and one of the current ones as the reminder alert I'd be very pleased.

So I downloaded the new iTunes and I got the Genius bar, and I started to create a playlist based on "Aerosmith - Dream On".... And next thing you know, those sneaks from Apple RICKROLL'D ME!!!!

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but Apple's fixed the grammar on the App Store when all the apps are up to date.
It used to say "All Apps Are Up-To-Date." (hypenated with period), which is grammatically incorrect and always annoyed me as a card-carrying grammar nazi
