Don't know if this has been spotted yet by anyone else, but if you go into the 'PODCASTS' section on the iTunes Store, the word 'Catagories' is at the top, instead of the correct spelling: 'Categories'.

In the German-language version it's spelled correctly :)

Wow--just tried the transit button. I hadn't been very interested in that, but now that I see how easy it is, I might just be taking the bus more often :) It's SO much better than those paper maps with the tiny schedules that I'm used to!

Support of Public Transport via Google Maps works fine here in Vienna. Finds even small bus routes (156B in the screenshot; U=Metro; Ankunft=arrival).

When you update an app in iPhone there is no temporary icon any more - the original placed one will show up a progress bar.

I will try to add to that. Over in Palmdale CA we have a pretty small bus system. Download almost done, maybe I can also say it works well! lol

My favorite is the AppStore now shows multiple pictures and displays them full-screen; makes it feel like you're in the App!

LOL the character 'I' and 'X' doesn't pop when pressed on keyboard.

To remedy this I just turned on "English (UK)" but I have submitted a bug report to Apple :)

What are you talking about? Where is the "transit" button located ?

I want Cut and Paste
I want to be able to listen to my music via bluetooth
I want to view Flash in my browser

Many of us do. The good news is: just because one feature is released doesn't mean others aren't also underway. Street View doesn't affect the whole OS and UI and every text-based app. Cut and Paste might take longer to do RIGHT. It's a shame Apple started late on that (they admitted earlier it wasn't a priority) but I'd rather see it well-designed than rushed out the door, driving every developer crazy when they go back and do it right later.

As for Flash, Adobe has said they hope to have Flash optimized for ARM (the iPhone's processor) sometime in late 2009. Apple's not the source of that delay. Flash is simply not efficient. I hope it gets there, but it's not there now. (Nor is it stable. Do I really want Flash ads slowing down and crashing my phone's browser?)

Is this new?

While installing the update on my iPhone it showed the Apple logo then underneath the bar for how far a long the update install was. Is this new?!

Come on Apple get real here.

What's the point of having a machine they keep saying is a business tool and added things like Exchange compatibility etc, when we can't even get a simple cut and paste function

As a business user being able to cut and paste from one email I received to one I am sending is almost basic in its requirement.

Who cares about looking at a picture of 5th Avenue, what do you do with the picture now you have it? Orgasmic, an out of focus picture of 5th Avenue! Completely baffled to the point of this!

As an aside, can't do Buckingham Palace, Google does not have the pic.

But this update gives me a new real wow item for my 246Mb download... click the home button to get to my front screen WOW! common really!

I agree. That is a strange one. Especially as things like street view are not fully implemented around the world yet. IMHO its a gimmick.

Also just noticed that the app store has a lot more screens shots for each app. maybe that was there before. Just clicking on main screen shot takes me to a slide show of other shots. Sorry if its always been there.

The point of Street View is to see a place before you get there--which makes it MUCH easier to know where to turn, how the lanes are marked, where to park to get to the front door, which driveway is exit-only, etc. etc.

Scouting a place out ahead of time is no mere gimmick :) And the areas covered have been expanding--check Google Maps on the desktop, where you can see the coverage highlighted in blue.

Agree - this is in because of the G1 and Android and I suppose because they can - which begs the question as to why still no copy n paste... maybe it is harder than we all think

Is there some special way that I have to turn on Google Street View ?
I went to a few different locations that I know has Street View on a regular
computer, but I see nothing on my iPhone.

the storm can use multi-touch to copy and paste so i find it hard to believe apple cant.

That feature is a huge advantage! Here in Austria the new Google Maps Public Transit feature finds local and international trains, trams (streetcar), buses, trolleybuses, metro - everything! I've played around with it now for some time and the results seem to be accurate.

It shows first how long you'll have to walk for the next bus or tram station and when exactly (don't waste time waiting) the bus/tram should arrive. If you want to travel to another city it shows all departures of the (next and subsequent) trains. Really great!

I love that.

Ok this is a test with me iPhone.

Improved stability in Safari, eh?

You've said that before Apple...

Normally on this site and appleinsider my safari crashes and/or lags really bad. I am going to see if I can get through this messege. Well it is a lot smoother thus far. I don't know it seems good. Typing is smoother. It is a tiny bit laggy but definitely better. Hope it stays like this forever!

YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE PODCASTS OVER THE AIR (3G) WITHOUT HAVING TO DOWNLOAD THEM FIRST ! It streams over the 3G network as you listen. If you want to download it, it saves the link and downloads the full clip next time you are on WiFi or synced ! Sweet !!! :D:D:D:D:D

Anyone notice the old school firmware update bar when upgrading the firmware on the Iphone?

Is it me or did this not used to appear>>>???
