iPhone 3.0 Update for iPod Touch Page Appears in iTunes, Not Yet Functional

So if its going to be released 6PM UK time, then it will be released here in Australia at 3am......

THIS IS SO LAME...! WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT??? YOU'D THINK WITH THE AMOUNT PEOPLE PAY FOR WITH THE LINE RENTAL, THAT APPLE WOULD GIVE US A BREAK AND JUST RELESE THE BLODDY 3.0 UPDATE

Appropriate name :)

I'd rather wait a few more hours, and it actually work (a.k.a can download it) than have to get frustrated when it doesnt work. We've waited months for it, a few more hours isn't going to hurt.

But before I read this, I was on some other websites about the Australian release.

What the? Why would sites be saying June 26 when Apple clearly has July 18 on their website? Was it changed? Does anyone have any information on the Australian release? (Apart from that we don't have it yet either :rolleyes:)
 
Its also getting released when most UK Isp are limiting bandwith between 4pm and 12am.
So if 6pm is the UK time and your lucky enough to get the message to download in iTunes you can bet its gonna be a really really really slow download
 
Ok i have sat here constantly clicking check for updates...

So angry Apple i think you need to be better to your customers.

Since we here in Australia are 1 half day ahead why not give it to us... Grrr:mad::mad:

June 26 is when the new iPhone 3GS is available in Australia.

The iPhone 3.0 software update will be available tomorrow (which is June 18 for us Down Under), and at 18:00 GMT according to some of the people here. (You can work out the time zone difference yourself.)

Treat them better?

Its still the 17th. They havent really done anything wrong yet. If it was 3 months late, with no explanation (*cough* push *cough*), then year ok. But come on....
 
Build number of final version?

Does anyone know the build number (who has it already) of the final version of the 3.0 software? Is it the same as the GM version (7A341)?

Why do I have the picture of whining users in mind, arguing that the iPhone OS 3.0 isn't THAT Update everybody lives for...

Its an Update, most of the new features aren't available now, cause Apps do not use or supoort them... The really new cool features will be soon available in cool Apps, as it has always been on the iPhone...

6/17 is 6/17... if they couldn't specify a specific time - then they should have said 6/18 and slowly rolled it out globally beginning 6/17. Silly Apple.
 
Where is 3.0????!!!... I was dreaming about it. and just woke up to find it and its not here yet????
