Since they're selling dock adapters (the white plastic inserts) I think it's reasonable to say that it will work with existing docks that support the interchangeable inserts.

New family plan account and iPhone 4 - Pickup Only

I pre-ordered wtih ATT earlier for 2 phones and it went thru with no problems.

Now that the Apple Store is up, I tried to see how the pre-order for a family plan works on their site. It seems like it only allows you to order one phone and also it can only be store pickup. Bummer.

I'm glad AT&T will ship two phones. It's such a hassle having to go to the Apple store to activate on release day.

yeah APPLE must have worked REAL hard during that down time to get us all to that OOOPPS screen a lot faster lol

The cart system on the site is completely hosed. Everything else is gold. If they fix that then this should all go very smoothly on the Apple site.

After a few minutes of refreshing the page, I finally got through on my order as an existing customer. Black 32gb, same unlimited plan. Decided to pick up @ a local Apple store down the street from me.

It still says the Store is down for me. Im getting really pissed att wont let me log in and Apples website is sucking major A**.

How long is it taking to get a confirmation email from ATT,i ordered 45min ago and still haven't got one.and my credit card payment hasn't processed yet either except for a charge of a $1 or do they not charge till it's shipped?

Damn my phone just died and my work discount means that I can't see a iPhone4 for preorder...

My email confirmation from Apple took about 5-10 minutes.

Psssssst... it's probably because they're working on the issue. I doubt they flipped a switch to turn it on, then went home assuming everything would be a-ok.

there's a work around for the site being down. go to your local stores site (apple.com/yourlocalstore). it'll say Features In-Store and click Reserve yours now. it should go through regardless. i just did it for 2 phones and it worked both times

So this is kind of crazy. I ordered 3 times on ATT and each time within a few minutes I got a cancellation letter. I checked my back account and I was charged the 700 plus for the two phones. I log into my ATT account and look for recent orders. And low and behold there is an order for two phones but the order number doesn't match any of my orders I had placed earlier. Maybe they're going back and fixing them as they happen. I hope so. We'll see what it looks like when I wake up in the morning. lol

yeeeah sweet you are a genius... except for the fact the nearest apple store is 200 MILES away!!

Unfortunately, I'd rather not have to wait in line at 5 AM...

Placing order via AT&T's Website

I was able to place my order via AT&T's website (Apple's site was giving me trouble and timing-out). I have a family share plan with three lines. Two were eligible for the $199 early upgrade on a 16 GB iPhone 4. I added those with no problems.

I was also able to add a $499 32 GB iPhone to the third line. (This line didn't qualify for the full discounted upgrade pricing, as the upgrade date was 3 January 2011.)

I submitted the order right around 5:15 am EDT and received the email confirmation just a few moments later.

It's also worth noting that, for the two lines that were eligible for the early upgrades and the $199/$299 prices, the price showed up as $399 for the 16 GB model UNTIL I added it to the cart, at which point both were properly adjusted down to $199.

I hope this helps!
