I am a premier account and see the iPhone 4 for pre order but when I put it in my cart and go to confirm - there is no submit button after I enter my info in. Weird

If it craps out when you make the choice to add it to your cart (vs. picking it up), trying checking back at your cart - it seems to add it anyway, even though it gives you an error.

Getting past *that* to actually checking out, well, that's another matter.

To :apple:, I'm losing faith in you...I give up on this pre-order and the hurdles it presents...you've deviated from "simplicity..." what do you have to say for yourself?

I am a Premiere account too, and had no issues. Although, it did make me confirm my data plan selections for each line before it would actually ADD the phone to the cart for checkout.

So glad there's an Apple Store 30 minutes away. Well, 30 minutes if Muni is acting right, which it never is.

vodafone uk will be taking pre orders today or tomorrow.

Kate: Hello, you're chatting with Kate, one of Vodafone's online sales specialists. May I take your name please?
You: hi, i just wondered if you knew when the iphone 4 will be available on vodafone?
Kate: it will be available on vodafone for pre order by tomorrow
You: does that mean it could be today?
Kate: yes
Kate: it could be today as well
Kate: you can come online in the evening

and I officially hate the word Oops

Woohoo, I finally managed to place my order! The Apple store was finicky at best. I had to refresh every page several times, as it kept reverting to a page saying the store was down.. but hey.

The 24th can't come too soon. :D

I'm coming from T-Mobile with a FAN discount. I couldn't order a 4 either, so I just went through AT&T's regular site and ordered it there. I'll just add the FAN when it gets activated...

it is losing connection even before then, it is all a front. If you click the learn more button about them holding your account info so you can come back within thirty days, it already says connection lost.

AT&T's site has a banner stating that the $36 activation fee is waived: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/packages/iphone-packages.jsp

Then on the invoice, it says you will be billed $36 for the activation fee on the first bill.

Which is it?

That's OK, on mine it lists the purchase as "Nation FamilyTalk Additional Line" even though it clearly designates the order as being for "LINE 1 (<my number>)" and includes an $18 upgrade fee.

So there are a few bugs in the system.

I ordered a £599 32GB Black from the UK Apple Store, got my confirmation email, will be delivered on 24th June.

The next issue is getting a new Micro SIM out of O2 for the account that I have with them at the moment. I'm on a Monthly Tariff that only has a rolling 30 day contract which means I can drop the service and move to another carrier at anytime. It has 300 mins per month, unlimited SMS and unlimited data. (iPhone Simplicity Tariff).

I have been told if you register on the O2 website that they will send out a new Micro SIM (which will also fit into existing iPhones, it has a holder) as soon as they can. Lets hope it is before the 24th!

Interesting. I am a FAN account, too. When I tried to add the devices via the normal AT&T online store, it redirected me to the FAN premiere store. During checkout, it even had me confirm my FAN discounts.

It should be pretty easy to get your discount added after the fact, though. Enjoy the discount!

Now when you click on the shopping cart it's finally giving you a "we'll be right back."

I'd say they're definitely working on it.

I have been trying consistently since the very second the pre-order page went live. I want to order from Apple instead of AT&T because AT&T won't waive my upgrade fee, and I'm not too sure of how soon I will receive it through them. After hours of "Oops!" and "We'll be back" and "session expired", the most I can get is the option to reserve. It says something along the lines of not being able to complete my order online. It NEVER gives me an "add to cart" option for shipping. Does this indicate that even when everything is fixed, I'll still only be able to reserve it? I want it to be shipped to me on launch day, but this doesn't look too promising....
