#1: You can't blame Apple
Face it, this is an AT&T issue at this point in the process. You'd think they would hire Apple to manage their server farm. Chances are, it's running Windows.![]()
#2: Preparing for an "onslaught" is difficult (for anyone)
It's hard to "prepare" for an event such as what is happening right now. Even if you've done it a 100 times, you don't know WHAT you will be faced with. Even the grandest of server and network setup schemes are prone to fail. I've seen it time and time again myself. Just when you think all the bugs have been worked out, it fails.
#3: NO ONE is PERFECT
Yep, that includes you, me, Apple, ATT, Tmobile, Verizon, Sprint, Microsoft (especially), Google, etc etc etc.
NO ONE IS PERFECT. While this is frustrating... for every one of us... we have all had our failures. This is their (those who are dealing with all this mess) failure, so accept it and try again later.
It's De Ja Vu all over again. Remember when Henry Ford introduced the Model T? Looks like we've come full circle. That was in August 1908, 102 years ago.moka said:ugh, waiting for white iPhone to be available...![]()

It's De Ja Vu all over again. Remember when Henry Ford introduced the Model T? Looks like we've come full circle. That was almost 100 years ago. I guess they will keep making Black iPhones until all the pre-orders and reserved ones are fulfilled. Then the White assembly line will start. Hope it's by the end of June. I want White because it screams I'm an iPhone 4!
The account holder's last 4.
This guy is a GENIUS! We were doing it all wrong... I see now! LOL what a condescending douche.
"Wireless from AT&T is continually working to improve our web site for our customers. Unfortunately, our site is unavailable and cannot handle your request at this time. Please be assured that we are working as quickly as possible to remedy the situation. We apologize for this inconvenience and ask that you please try back again later."
I think this is AT&T's fault. My request on Apple.com always times out when checking for eligibility.
And I get the above message when attempting to go to the AT&T Premier store to upgrade.
Good job AT&T..
No he's simply saying your being impatient. Why are you people so worried you won't get the latest iPhone? Does it cure cancer? Will it end your life's hardships? Nope. So why not simply chill and say, "Alright, I'll get it when I can get it." A huge chunk of the posters on this thread, think they are entitled to the new iPhone just because they are willing to upgrade...it's disgusting.
Most of you will just take this post, quote it, and say, "Wow what a douche."
But will never answer my question, "Why are you in such a hurry to get the new iPhone?"
This also worked for me. Just add something to your cart in a seperate window people. Worked like a charm!

Seriously people, relax. It's a phone. You will get your pre-order in, ready to sell your stock over this? G ood grief, stop whining already.
Fact is there are probably millions trying to pre-order, if you understand technology, there is only so much you can do. You can't even compare iPad pre-orders to a very well established base of iPhone customers who are going o pre-order. Let the dust settle and get your order in, you will get your phone you big spoiled brats.
