iPhone 4 Orders Being 'Prepared for Shipment'

Thank you - that's what I was hoping (I don't need to change my voice plan). I know when I went through AT&T, they kept asking me to add a voice plan (then dumped me into the Premier Store, kept telling me my user name/password was incorrect, then kept dieing on me), whereas Apple didn't ask anything - just had me confirm that my plan was what it was (and did show the correct voice plan).
Like I said: first iPhone upgrade for me

Apple told me ATT "cancelled it." I said, but I ordered it from you! They said "Sorry, you'll need to call them." What a crock. I love ya Apple, but you folks just don't have your **** in one sock on this one.

pissed that I don't get mine till mid July.
At least you know when yours (black) is being released. Apple still hasn't given me ANY idea when to expect white iPhones yet.
My 16GB from Apple just hit the "Prepared For Shipment" phase. Just waiting for my AT&T one to change status. But based on last year, it probably won't change until after it's delivered.
Not a word. Unprofessional as hell. Even if it's a 6 month wait, at least tell us. Even if you're not sure how long, tell us it's still coming or SOMETHING.
Er... How long have you been following apples tactics of information opacity?
Not entirely true, they did say "later this summer". I really did think that the UPS pelican would drop my new white baby off on the 24th, but that's not happening. Hope another carrier is announced while we wait so ATT can suck it.
My uncle's iPhone 4 reservation went through, too. Really looking forward to experiencing it in real life, and eventually buying one myself here in my far away country.

Mine says the same but I can click on "Custom configuration" and it says "with AT&T rate plan"

Tried to get a microsim off 02 today. They said I had to come in on the day.
They had to read it off a screen - numpties.
On the o2 website, they said you can go get a micro sim on monday if you show them your pre-order confirmation email
If you got your order in with Apple.com and it says "delivered June 24," you will almost certainly get it then. If Apple didn't have enough for that, they would have done something by now. It really doesn't matter what your order status says today if you have a deliver on June 24 order.
What I find more interesting is watching to see when July 2 and July 15 people might get their orders, that is where the surprises might lie.

My husband and I were both available for upgrades and were lucky enough to get two of them ordered through Apple.com around 4pm on the 15th. We checked this morning and one of our orders shows prepared for shipment and the other one was cancelled. We just spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple and AT&T, where both companies blamed the other for our order being cancelled. After being transferred to 5 different employees (and hung up on by a really pissy apple rep) we have been told that we are sh*t out of luck on the one that was cancelled and our only option is to place another order that will ship mid-July. So incredibly disappointed with Apple right now.

I thought I had read that, but the massed intellects at o2 huddersfield weren't aware of this.
Have ordered a sim from 02, should sort me out - but they have kept that link obscure.
Any ideas if its FedEx or UPS shipping the phones? UPS shipped the iPads on launch day. I hope its not UPS since during the week the UPS driver doesn't come til around 5-6pm.
I've been wondering the same thing. I ordered mine in-store at about 1 p.m. with no problem, and my order status still says "in progress."

i ordered iphone 4 AT ATT store and when i go to check order status at ATT WEBSITE i put my number, zip code etc and it says i have no order. some guys said there orders where in progress but my account sais nothing. can some one exolain to me.
