My order status just changed over to "prepared for shipment." I got my order in at 5:41 PM PST, I am glad I made the cut. This is my first iPhone so you can understand the excitement!

Last time I checked UK are further away from the states...than the states, why the heck aren't ours 'Prepared for shipping' yet?

I am getting my O2 sim/microsim swapped today with any luck so when the ip4 comes i can swap over and get £200 for my 3g 16b.

Obsessive is such a strong word... Don't you mean something like dedicated.... Well, I speant 6 hrs trying to PreOrder the Iphone 4. It would go through... then go to check out and Crash... and burn. Buck luckily it finally went through... But I am have been 1 of the people who has "obsessively" been checking thier order status. I have been following Iphone 4 since last year.

If you notice my Order Status also says Prepared for Shipment. But it also states "Custom Configured" which means that the phone has been prepared with the MicroSim to your personal account. If you Dial *639# on your Iphone, you will notice that the text you recieve will tell you, that you are not eligible for the upgrade... since your upgrade is coming... !!!! Only wish I could get my Bumper the same day too. I will only handle my Iphone 4 with Surgical Gloves until my bumper and cover comes in...

I ordered mine at 7:31PDT on Day 1 and mine still has not changed. I was one of the those that had a 2nd order through ATT go through without me knowing..... I wonder if that had an effect on my Apple order. I also changed my address after ordering.

I ordered two phones, one for me and one for my son. I had to place two separate orders due to problems with Apple's servers. My order went through at 06:33 AM PDT and still says "Not yet shipped". I wasn't able to get his order through until much later in the day at 01:21 PM PDT, but now his says "Prepared for Shipment".

Both orders say "Ships: Delivers on June 24th". Should I be worried? Anyone else experience something like this?

Just checked and it was kind enough to tell me that I can select equipment at full retail pricing or do an upgrade on 2-18-12.

That's after the iP5 comes out but before the apocalypse so I can still mess with the newest iPhone

I wouldn't worry. I ordered one iPhone 32 GB at 430 PM EST and an iPhone 16 GB at 500 PM on pre-order day. The later order (16 GB) prepared to ship last night, while the earlier one (32 GB) prepared to ship this morning.

That's a good point. However, I just dialed *639# and it says that I'm not eligible for upgrade anymore, but Apple.com order still indicated that it's "Not yet shipped" (I ordered on first day at 7:29 PDT). Not sure what's the deal now.

I ordered the phone under my fiancee's account because she used my upgrade back in March to get the 3GS when she lost her original 3G

I was told that when the new iPhone came out I can use her account to upgrade my phone.

So is the phone going to come attached with her phone #? What's the best way to get it activated using my # when it comes

your account is updated but the hardware simply has a sim in it. when activated thru itunes it will then attach the number to the sim or more accurately attach the sim serial number to the your phone number.

best to cut down your current sim and put it in the new iphone.

Wow, ridiculous tax everyone. I only had $10 tax. I ordered mine around 9:30AM and got the "prepared to ship" on my order. Bring on the 24th!

I wonder if how UPS and Fedex will handle all the deliveries on thursday. I cant imagine the drivers are going to be too happy with all the iphone deliveries and their other deliveries. Seems like its going to be a late day for those drivers

I placed my order through AT&T's website for 299 for the 32gb version, but for fun, I also wanted to see if Apple's Store would sell me for the contract price. So, I decided to enter my info and the price listed for the 16 and 32 were both still 199/299.

Do you think I can "sneak" and get away purchasing 2 iPhone's?

My wife has one pre-ordered through both AT&T and Apple at this time due to server issues that day and being unsure which order actually made it through.

The in-store customer rep at AT&T said he would probably just leave it alone for fear if you were to cancel one if somehow it might negate the other even being different vendors. I suspect that the first one to have the eligibility actually processed will ship and the other will not - but we will see I guess.

I can't see ulgying up my iPhone with a Bumper. The Bumper itself isn't ugly but the iPhone is SO hot that changing it with a bumper seems like destroying a work of art.

I will just be careful with it.

I ordered two of them on the 15th, one at 7:31pm PDT and the other at 7:35pm PDT. Both orders still show delivered on the 24th and not yet shipped. I have also received both CSS emails from AT&T this morning.

Mine still says 'delivers on 24th of June' but not shipped yet. I got two of them booked straight after Apple updated UK website. So I guess I was among first ones. My bank account was not charged yet, is it normal? Have you beed charged already?

They will probably be in a "all hands on deck" mode. They will put more drivers out as necessary. It won't be a big deal. They are use to high volume spikes like Valentines, Thanksgiving, XMas, etc.

Yep, I'm in the exact same boat as you are. Ordered on 15th at 7:29 p.m. PDT and I have also gotten my CSS e-mail from ATT. It still says Not yet shipped.
