Yea, that was my biggest gripe with the 3G model, this one you can't even notice it, I am pretty picky about that sort of thing. I am so glad they fixed this issue.
Yea, that would bother me. So I ordered the powersupport films and im waiting for them shipping now on the 26th. I'll slap those on my phone with my defender when that shows up too, and my commuter too. I'm getting both. Defender is only for sport use on my bike and stuff, to be safer.
anyone that has one care to take some real life pics? would like to see how much bulk I am going to be adding. It won't be my only case, but it will be nice to have for my occasional outdoor adventures and beach volleyball games.

It still watermarked with the ZAGG protector... I like the zagg more... so I removed the otterbox cover.
Acutally, ITS IMPROVED!
Ill take a picture of it quickly, but they changed that whole design!
Got my otterbox today
Didn't even get an email conformation from them and I got my otterbox today. So anyone else that has not got one it could already be on it's way. Case is great.

They also re-did the Mute switch. Much easier to use now!
The Headphone jack is under a flap with a hole in it for the ambient noise mic
The Silicone cover is different.. It now uses a lip system around the edge A little different then the 3g. I almost prefer the 3g style in that sense.
Emailed Otterbox about my order and asked why it hasn't shipped yet. I ordered mine on the 20th like many others, but I haven't received a shipping notification.
The email said that all orders take 7-10 business days to process, so mine will ship LATE NEXT WEEK. I guess I'm just unlucky. He also added they would tell me when Fedex got it, but I ordered mine USPS. Maybe he's just BS'ing me.

I ordered mine early in the morning (when I saw the email) give them time. it was a day or two before I saw a shipping notification.
I probly don't think my defender shows up next week or even longer. Well see. Looks great in pics

The flat surface of the iPhone makes for less bulk in the Defender. I dunno what Otterbox uses in their silicone but it has great gripping traction while at the same time doesn't cling to anything in your pocket.
Just ordered mine off of eBay a few days ago. I usually stick with the Commuter series but I am going to give the Defender series and maybe even pick up the commuter series with it is released 
My Defender case should ship sometime in the beginning of August (1st week).

I received reply today with no cost replacement receipt however it shows USPS ground when originally it went fedex ground. Fedex ground arrived in two days I wonder how long USPS is gonna take.
