carry your phone with care, you won't have a shattered iPhone 4.
Lucky that you never get into any accidents. On the other hand, I trip and fall. Also, my hands are extremely dry, because I have to wash them constantly at work; my hands are slippery as a result.
Accidents happen to everyone. Don't come crying to the board when an accident gives your phone a spiderweb crack.

Just got my Defender case today - Thumbs Up!

This is a really nice case if you can live with the extra bulk it adds. As much as I tried getting used to carrying my iPhone 4 in my pocket, I just couldn't get used to it (the result of wearing a belt holster for a Blackberry for years), so I wanted a holster case that also provided protection to the phone, and this is probably the only thing out there now that fits the bill. As others have mentioned, the silicon cover is not sticky or tacky; it's pretty "dry" to the touch, and almost slippery. The parts fit together very nicely, and the holster works well if you can live with the bulk. You can put the phone in screen in or out in the holster, which is key because you can protect the screen from bumps. The screen protector has a bit of a rainbow effect you can see when the phone is off, and does add a little friction, but certainly no worse than the Zagg IS protector I had on the phone (which I took off). The front camera is covered by plastic/screen protector (it's actually a separate piece from the main screen protector); the rear camera is not covered but probably is as well protected as you can make it without covering it. Otterbox claims no issues with the flash, and others haven't reported any, so hopefully there won't be.

All in all, very pleased with the case. If I didn't need to be able use a holster, probably would use something smaller like a Candyshell case or just a screen protector and the bumper.

I cant wait for mine to get here today..Otter had NO idea what happened to my original order, said it probably got lost in the warehouse with the shipping label on it. So they sent me another one overnight which shipped yesterday. CANT WAIT!!!

Does anybody have a picture of the shell by itself, especially the upper right hand corner? I think my case is missing a tab, because my rubber covering wont stay on in that part.

Thanks

I received my Otterbox yesterday, exactly one week from when I ordered it. I must say that this case looks and feels very nice. It isn't nearly as heavy, bulky and ugly as I expected it to be. I realize the iPhone 4 is much thinner than the 3G/3GS and as a result, this case looks much sleeker than the cases for them. Now, I am just waiting on my iPhone 4 to come in. I ordered it yesterday (wasn't up-grade eligible until then) and hope it doesn't take too long to come in. This will be my first iPhone as I currently have a Blackberry Bold 9000 that has served it's purpose well, but it's time to move on as Blackberry doesn't seem to be keeping up with the technology very well.

As for those of you who have chosen to utilize other methods to protect your phone, I certainly hope they work for you, but is it really necessary to come on here and bash other people's choice? I don't work in construction, I work in health care one of the most sterile work environments, but I still want the best protection I can find for my phone. I prefer the Otterbox due to the protection it provides to my $320 glass investment that will have to last for 1 1/2 to 2 years. For me, it's not if I drop my phone, it's when and when I do, I want to be sure that it's protected because a shattered iPhone is a lot uglier and more expensive than this Otterbox.

ordered sunday night and received my tacking info today saying that shipment notification was sent to fed ex yesterday at 7:30pm local time. No other updated is posted though. However, i checked the tracking and it says estimated delivery today!? Dont know wether to get my hopes up when i come home from work though

This is Rediculous. I ordered on Tuesday, 20 minutes after I got the email, and still nothing. I have no clue how Otterbox decides who gets theirs shipped. I also opted for the FedEx 3 day delivery option.

There's no tab in the upper right part of the hard shell. The tabs are at top, and in the middle of the sides. There are plastic parts you can see around the mute button and speaker/mic grills at the bottom, but nothing in the upper right corner.

It sounds like their shipping process is totally random. My order shipped a week after it was placed, and even now the USPS site said only the label has been printed but no sign of it actually shipping. I know their tracking service is crap so maybe it's further along than I know, but who knows. I expect I won't get mine till next week sometime which means it took over 2 weeks for it to come in.

I don't understand some get it three days after ordering.

Just got mine and Iove it. I think it's a lot better than the one I have on my work 3GS. Also no bubble look under the screen at all. I'm happy as can be.

I ordered mine a week ago and nothing yet. Called them and they said to wait three more days that orders are processed within 7 to 10 business days.

What BS!

Got mine today and love it. Very nice although different from the feel of the original. No watermark... Very happy!

I know. Picture or it didn't happen :p

Thanks, thats what I thought. The rubber covering in that area is not sealing properly, its driving me crazy, I know I know whats the big deal bug hanging around you folks have force me to look at the details more often. I just called Otterbox customer service to explain the problem, they said instead of trying to fix it they'll just send me a new one case. One of many reasons why I love otterbox.

I am curious the type of shipping people ordered. I chose the most expensive one. Overnight I think. What shipment types did eveyone that has had long wait times order?

The rubber/silicon is not as "tight" around the plastic cover at that corner (now that I look at it closely, you can see a bit of a gap and the plastic lip underneath), but I suspect that the result of the extra rubber under the on/off button that is deforming the silicon a bit in that area. I don't care!

Any way to cover up the vanity window? I love my iPhone, but I really don't like being a walking billboard for Apple.

You can put something on the backside of the window(between it and the phone), to black it out or to put some other kind of logo there.

Thanks. This is my first otterbox. Was unsure if there would be room between the box and the phone. I thought about using electrical tape. :D

Not a problem. You should be fine as long as you don't go for anything too thick.

Instead of electrical tape, look at one of the many magazines you're bound to have laying around and find a page with the simple color you want in the window. That way, it'll be glossy. Be creative, find a pic with a weird looking eye or something ya know. You can always change it up. ;)

I'm sure someone might have comment on this already, and I did a quick look over the 20 pages on this tread, but could not see the answer...

Has any one have any problems by using this case while using this case while keeping the front and rear invisible shield? I was able to get the phone in, but it was a tight fit.

Just got my otterbox!!

Here you go guys, a few pics. Overall I love it.
