iPhone 4 Power Support USA Front Screen Protector + Mini-Review (HQ Pics)

I ordered the set a while back. I applied the crystal and it was absolutely disgusting. I mean, streaks, smudges, grease that would NOT come off. On top of that, parts of the films weren't sticking, both anti-glare and crystal. So I e-mailed them twice, and they finally responded. I have a replacement set of just anti-glares coming in the mail :)

Short followup since I put on the PS crystals last week. I still haven't heard from PS via email about my replacements that I'd sent to them, I'll give it another day and call them.
Over 3-4 days the area I've taken pictures and mentioned earlier still aren't sticking to the phone.
holy smokes thank god I caught this thread, was about to pull the trigger on crappy zagg shield!

by the way, stop being so feminine guys, I almost thought it was a joke, its a small bubble not that big of a deal
I don't mind the small area around the ring of the front facing camera not sticking but I did pay around $30 that should be of the same quality as others who've bought this.

As far as the protection on the PS, yeah it protects the actual glass on the iphone, but scratches are going to happen. Whereas the Zagg IS was pretty tough and scratch-proof, the PS films are just another screen that WILL get scratched. I'm outdoors alot, just came back from a fourwheeling trip, never took my phone outside my Jeep, never been dropped mishandled but I noticed there was a light scratch will take pictures later across the film. Could be anything but worth mentioning.

This has probably been answered but what is the general consensus about this working with the Apple bumper?? Does the bumper seem to keep the sides down or make them peal up (mainly on the front because I will use something else on the back)??

Nope, no issue at all.

Alright I just got my Power Support Crystal and installed it.

Initially I went with SGP Ultra Clear for my front. However I am ashamed to say it took me 3 attempts before I was able to get the film on the way I wanted with no bubbles and such. However the final one still had some bubbles and the bottom corner would not adhere no matter how much sustained pressure I kept on it. I ordered a PS Crystal after that and over the next few days the side edges along the SGP started to lift (Very slightly).

Got my PS, installation was so much easier with the multipiece component. Ran into no bubble problems. However around the home button there was a bit of a lift observed. I held it down with my thumb for 5 minutes or so and since then it has disappeared.

Overall I am quite happy. PS has my support for front screen protectors.

@TroyBoy30 if you email PS with a picture, they'll be happily send you a replacement. I just got a confirmation just a couple of hours after I sent them the picture. Their support is top notch.

I used the pics you guys provided to send to support. hope it's ok I was lazy!

Someone said they'll send a replacement, but I got no confirmation so I emailed a day later and no answer. Does this sound like Powersupport to you guys? I would have thought they would send a tracking number/confirmation for the replacement. It's been a week. I am starting to hate them.

I friend of mine asked me to take some close up shots of the camera cut out on the PS protectors before he bought them. I figured you guys might want to see some more pictures as well.

Oh and click on em if you'd like to see the full size.

<<<<<stupid question alert>>>>>
I just ordered the 3 piece film set which includes 1 HD anti-glare screen film, 1 crystal screen film, 1 crystal back film.

For the front, I obviously will only use either the anti-glare or the crystal, right?

Thankyou sir. You see I was having a very blonde day. Full of stupid questions and inability to type/talk correctly. But this... this makes me feel much better.

And the answer is yes lol :)

Really wish Apple was still selling these in the UK - Now I'm left with the choice: either order direct from the US and pay $30 postage + import taxes, or order from any of the UK suppliers selling the two-part set for £30 (about $50 again)

I really don't understand PS's global postage rates - I could send these by airmail from the US to UK for about $5 and I think that's about how much postage I paid for my previous BodyGuardz, so how come the rates PS offer are between $28.50 and $77? That's ridiculous on a $20 product.

Sorry, but either way £30/$50 is toooo much for what this actually is. £20 I could just about live with.

Have you tried eBay sellers?

I would mention that hunting around Montreal for good screen protectors like SGP and Power Support I came upon the "Tru Protection Anti-Glare Screen Film". I look at the back and there is a sticker which reads TRU144 and then Power Support. This is for the iPhone 4.

Their website is www.truprotection.com and googling I come up with this link:

http://www.puremobile.ca/TruProtection/TruProtection-TRU144-Anti-Glare-HD-Film-Set-iPhone-4/

This company is out of California and they say the product is made in Japan.

This appears for all intents and purposes to be repackaged Power Support anti-glare. I read somewhere that this was seen at a Fido store too so I am guessing that this is more ubiquitous than Power Support in some places.

Anyone have any comments on this? I bought it but have not opened it yet and can return it.

Hi, I have bought these TruProtection TRU-144 screen protectors, and from all my experience, they are re-branded PowerSupport Anti-Glare screen protectors. The installation instructions and the feel are exactly the same.

I can't see any difference between PowerSupport and the TruProtection, and the quality and fit are excellent. I also wanted to order them from Power Support, but I found the shipping and customs costs too high. Being able to buy them from FIDO in Canada made things so much easier and less costly.

I hope this helps others in Canada who are looking for an excellent screen protector, and who want to save themselves some money... IAN.

does anyone know where this ships from?

The PS ships from their US office in Burbank, Ca. If you are in Southern California, you can buy it from their store, but check out the other thread for a good ebay seller where you can make an offer to get them for $16 + free shipping instead of the $24 they charge + shipping.

for those who are interested, the screen protector works fine with the incipio edge case. my wife just got the case and it didn't affect the screen protector at all. i was just careful when sliding the phone into it. she's just using the crystal on the front. no protector on the back.

also when i installed it i had some minor lifting of the film around the front camera, which is what i see some people are having issue with. i sat around watching tv and put some pressure on the trouble area with my thumb for about 15 min and it eventually went away. now there are no visible signs there is a screen protector on it. maybe just take a little more time rubbing down the areas that seem to be lifting. worth a shot and not having to deal with customer service.

I ordered mine from Amazon for $19.95 - from Gear Store -
they were offering free 5-8 day shipping. GearStore is in LA
so it took one day for me to get. PS you have to pay shipping.

I bought the HD anti-glare and got a perfect fit - no bubbles. I am
currently using either the Belkin Micra and the Speck Candy case with
NO problems of it coming up.

It works!

got my confirmation after sending them some pics from this thread. they sent me another complete 3 piece kit

For those who have bubble near the camera, don't take it off yet. Try to press your thumb on it, it will eventually stick after 15 mins or so. I tried it and it works for me, you just have to persevere. In the end, I got two packs for $30 not bad.
