Exactly. The size of the internal memory becomes unimportant if a 64, 96 or 128gb card can be used. I can't wait to get my hands on this phone!

64GB is not enough for me though unless the phone has 32GB minimum. I really want 128GB but I'd setlle for 96GB right now while waiting for a 128GB card to come out.

Put my Verizon Galaxy Nexus up forsale today so I can get it. I absolutely adore my Galaxy Nexus, except, the camera; like most people. It can be really good but most of the time it's meh.

Did you update it to 4.0.4? I'm reading about it now and Google improved photo quality in that update. Looks good enough to me after the 4.0.4 update. Not 4S quality but better than iPhone 4 quality. I'm expecting one in the mail this week.

Not sure, I am running AOKP ROM which is already 4.04.... not sure if his 4.04 is different than the official? I haven't looked at it yet. His ROM is kind of one of those set it and leave it, it's so good, like factory.

I honestly though never thought the camera was bad, just can be meh in poor lighting. I use it quite often and its passable. Sometimes great! But, it looks like the S3's is fantastic all around.

I think its hysterical that Samsung choked and dont have the balls to go toe to toe with the new iPhone.

All their GSIII models launched a paltry 8 months after the GSII in the USA. That's pretty much conceding the iPhone will be the instant industry leader and top seller.

Right, Apple not putting out a phone but once a year means Samsung has no balls and they should wait for Apple to not drag their ass. Good logic.

Look, it is Apple who is playing catchup for that reason. I dont think Samsung is conceding anything and they don't need to.

Yup, the S3 is honestly just playing catch-up to the 4S at the point. Samsung is just pathetic.

No one has been able to name something the S3 can do that the 4S can't. For so many droid fanboys lurking in this thread, thats pretty sad

Do me a favor. Take your iP4 and open up a file explorer app and copy any file to your external sd card. Let us know when you have accompllshed this.

I get that Android has more and better file managers, but your example is pretty poor since I use iFile to move files to and away from my SD card all the time...either wirelessly to my computer or using the SD card adapter. That's something any iPhone can do.

This has to be the most ridiculous statement I've ever seen. It is a fact that Android can do more than iOS, even with the stock OS.

When you can download files with Safari into a centralized filesystem, or any of the multitude of things that Android can do that iOS can't, then you can say things like that.

You are just factually incorrect, and even most iOS users will tell you this.

so you assume every iPhone is jailbroken to try and back up your point? This is a built in feature with the S3. It requires no modification to the OS to void the warranty or a purchased dongle, which by the way looks incredibly stupid. You gonna walk around with a dongle attached to your iphone 24/7?

Galaxy S III jumps ahead of the iPhone 4S as the most popular phone in the UK

The white edition of the iPhone 4S was the King in the UK, but while it has only been available for a few days, the Samsung Galaxy S III is now the new crowned King according to the uSwitch Mobile Tracker. Unfortunately for Apple, the iPhone 4S’s reign was only for a month, which was last month. Before that, the Galaxy S II was the leader for 11 consecutive months while selling 20 million units. Not only that, the Galaxy S II still holds the three spot even after 15 months of it’s first sale....

here are a few thing the iphone cant do but the Galaxy S3 can do with ease:
- Facial Unlock
- 2GB of RAM nuff said!
- expandable memory via SD card.
- comes with 50GB of dropbox storage!!!!!!!
- Video Chat over 4G and 3G
- 4.8 inch 720p Display screen for gaming and movie viewing.
- Android Beam and S Beam
- LTE!
- Smart Stay ( google it and learn about it )
- Smart Alerts
- Pop Up Play, being able to watch a movie or video while doing any action like playing a game or send a text or on the phone.
- ability to change screen mode from cool blue display to warm yellow to dynamic contrast etc, meaning no more complaining that my screen is yellow and not blue like when the iphone came out!
- VOICE AWAKE! Saying Hi Galaxy will wake up phone!!!!!!!!!

The S2 beats the hell out of the 4S, never mind the S3! Apple has yet to catch up with Samsung's last flagship :D

Something the S3 can do the iPhone can't: automatically turn the screen on when you're looking at it and turn it off when you look away or shut your eyes.

That was easy...next!

S3 is in high demand, why wait months for the iPhone to come out when they can sell more now with less competition? Samsung is a business, a pissing contest is the last thing on their minds.

While apple has tighter security no doubt, you are relying on apple. As dev Charlie Miller showed he could make an app (containing no malicious code but in essence have it) and slip it passed apples security. He obviously lost his dev license (or whatever it's referred too) it wasn't until it was brought to apples attention by him. He was proving a point he previously told them about.

Android does have malware (still considered an insignificant problem by many) if you simple LOOK at an apps permissions when downloading you can filter most if not all of it. Then there is always the option of anti malware apps made by serious security companies like norton and avg. I could bet it would be impossible for you to tell me an app currently on google play that's malware, if it was a serious problem it would be very simple.

I prefer not relying on someone else for my security is all aspects of my life including digitally.

That said the app store is in fact safer and I'm in no way arguing that fact. Just it's silly to let your guard down because you heard it was completely safe. Malware is software, no one is safe.

I agree for the most part. My point about FUD was that the person I quoted was trying to equate a few exceptions on the App Store to a lot more pervasive issue on Google Play.

The one thing that I do disagree with is that Google's permissions are an effective way to limit malware. All that it requires is that the app promote some functionality that justifies the permission. Yes, you can stop a flashlight app from stealing your contacts, but what about a social networking app or a photo sharing app.

And that overlooks the fact that most people simply ignore the permissions either because they are confusing or the person doesn't understand the exact functionality of the app before downloading it.

(Your challenge is rigged in that as soon as a piece of malware becomes publicized, it is removed from the market. :) )

not really informative in anyway. just sounds like another fanboy post.

you should compare and contrast real features and design rather than "material feels cheap"

for example, apple uses regular glass from corning, while samsung uses gorilla glass 2 from the same company. the difference is HUGE in durability.

and if you've been around this forum for awhile, then you'd know that apple has quite a bit of quality control issues. they'd never admit it, but swap it out for you like doing you a favor.

I agree 100%. I would not consider that an educated review of a product at all. As someone who sells cell phones for a living, there is nothing I hate more then when someone comes into get a phone and they either won't touch an Apple and are all about Android or are all about Apples and won't touch a Android. How about finding the device that best suits you and your needs? I've had a Samsung device and I loved it! They really do make incredible devices and I can't wait for the s3 to come out because it has some pretty unreal things going on! It's definitely something to be excited about in my opinion! Right now, I'm using an iPhone 4 and I I love this device too. It suits me and my needs. I'm having some issues with it right now unfortunately but I'll upgrade soon. I'm really not sure what I'm going to upgrade to yet. It all depends on who makes the device I like the best and that works for me! :)

Last year before the iPhone 4S came out. I remember buying the Samsung Galaxy SII and then returning a day later and got the 4S when it launched. The SII was great, just being so tied into Apple products it would've required me to modify the way I did a lot of things. Inside a piece of me wants the SIII.

All phones aside I'm beyond bored with iOS and current screen size.

Thank you for the irrelevant exposition, because I'm pretty sure that I said clearly that launching 8 months after the GS2 was a USA matter.

Not to mention that his source conveniently breaks down the iPhone by color and by storage in order to make the claim that something other than the iPhone is the top smartphone! :D
