iPhone 5 Available to ship:2 weeks / Delivers Oct 5

Customer Service Email from AT&T

I got my iPhone customer service email from AT&T. I heard that was indicator that your phone would be shipping soon but my order is still showing "Processing Items" and Oct 5th.

Anyone have any idea? Trying to check to see if credit card but the website isn't working

I ordered at 4:30AM EST night (or morning) of presale..still at available to ship 2 weeks and est delivery Oct 5.

The available to ship option staying at 2 weeks is bothering me since that first went up almost a week ago.. As long as that generic language stays on the status then there probably is a good chance the estimated delivery is generic as well. The hope is that it is a conservative estimate with a chance it will be shot out earlier.

I too, like many here, can not believe that Apple would simply not deliver any phones for almost two weeks after the initial launch deliveries..I know they are stocking stores and carriers, come on..

How much are they offering you?

I think the best trade-in deal is ebay "instant sale." The offer I locked in was $200. I think if you accept before 9/21 you have until Oct 1 to have your old handset postmarked. Also, shipping is free.
 
I personally think that date of the 5th Oct is apple ensuring no one is disappointed if it's late.
I think it will come earlier.
I ordered 16th and have a 5th Oct date.
 
I ordered mine around 2:30am PST on the day of the launch and I'm still showing 2 weeks with the Oct. 5th delivery date. My card is still showing a pending $1.00 charge from the Apple Web Store... I guess we'll see an update after the actual launch on Friday?

I'm surprised someone got their shipping method changed since the Apple rep I spoke to said it's impossible to change a delivery method on a pre-order item. The guy made it clear that it is only possible to change methods ONLY after a product has actually launched. :confused:

$150. And Im getting a 16 GB, it'd save me a ton of money.

I agree. The worst case scenario would be us getting the phones at the promised delivery date. As long as there is some kind of "chance" of getting it sooner, I'm all for it. :)

same here.... Got the AT&T email but still processing, Oct 5th

32gb black, ordered 4:30am mountain time

ATT iphone 5 black 16GB

Has any one tried to track via UPS or FexEx using their cell number or order number as a Reference?

I heard this is working for some people even if your order is still showing "processing"

AT&T CSS E-mail

I just received from AT&T the "Your iPhone CSS" email. I have had the Oct. 5 delivery date since I ordered at 12:48 AM (PST).

Does anyone know what the CSS email means? Hope for earlier delivery? :)
 
I received that email on Monday so I dont think it means anything. I ordered at 1:15 pacific and I have Oct 5 too. I think we are screwed and will have to cancel and try a store if we want a new phone this weekend.

Really. You just posted this. If you read through the active threads you will see the directions and success doing this for hundreds of folks.

Personally, mine does not show up in Fedex or UPS. And I have tried every number possible, other than my dead grandparents.
 
Just got my AT&T CSS email as well at 4:23 PM Central.

Ordered a black 64 GB model at 6 AM central on the 14th.

I hope this thing delivers earlier than Oct. 5th. :)

It seems like a lot of people just recently got their CSS email. I just got mine a few minutes ago. Will update here when order status changes from processing so we can try to pin down any correlation.

Didn't get this email. What does it say and who did you order from - Is it from Apple or ATT?

If you click on the link it just goes over your new contract/agreement.

BTW I ordered through the apple store. But the email is from AT&T.
